i get where witcher's coming from cuz in my country it is EXTREMELY HARD to gat manga of any sort. when i go to stores they look at me as if i'm crazy asking about bleach or naruto... far less for the less popular series that are out there. when i do purchase online - by the time it gets to my country and hopefully if someone in customs doesn't steal it, the price might end up being close to $240 PER MAGAZINE!!! and it may not even be in pristine condition when i do get it. Im not justifying stealing from the internet in any way but i live in trinidad and tobago - that's in the caribbean and the only way i get manga is online and our exchange rate is like TT$7 to US$1. so it is massively expensive for ppl in my country to actually afford manga. internat shopping is still a relatively new thing in my country and our post office is rampant with corruption. my options are very few indeed

Tell me about it, I live in the Dominican Republic and also work at the main airport. I see the stealing every day. But it is as witcher and kyuubi said... it's not cheap.

Maybe if they did to manga and anime what they did to music videos and mp3 with iTunes it would be better for everyone.

Im with you The Witcher, I live in Peru and it is very hard to get stuff here. I mean Exchange Rates are not so bad 1 USD = 2.8 Soles, but I as a student working a partime Job I can not afford buying and paying the custom taxes. I mean our Basic pay per month is like 500 Soles that is like 178 USD per month!!! and even if I had a full time pay rates are not really that good. That aside WE have other expenses like, Education, Rent and stuff. So yeah importing stuff get's out of our reach (unless you travel to the US like I did, most of my Manga Library books come from there). For example you have to pay almost 14 USD to get 1 Negima Volume, just 1, when in the US it is 8-9 USD, remembering the fact that in Peru we don't earn in dollars.

man forget all that i live in NY but im jst poor as shit lol although i have a connect with YEN+ cuz 1 of the kids i was a camp counselor for father works for that publishing company but the only problem with that is that i might aswell not even get that for free cuz the mangas the push arent tht great minus Nabari no ou and they havent released anything new in god knows how long and the shit is SO MANY CHAPTERS BEHIND!!!! i ended up using the books as weights to keep the plastic bags on my smashed car windows down smh. But let me bring us back to the issue that is onemanga. the only major issue i have with it minus the major fact that it sucks that their going under cuz ive been going to the site almost everyday religously is that i didnt just read the popular ones or jst a select few, no, i was keeping track of over 50 different mangas!! even shitty ones that ended up enjoyable. now i gota go through so many sites to find em and i will deff be losing track of more then half of those. breaks my heart. lol the thing with onemanga is that is was SO convenient and easy to use. shit my homepage is onemanga.com/recent but now i gota change it cuz its pointless now. if any1 knows of a site that post the recent updates similar to how onemanga had it let me know. THNX

Also i liked how this went from a discussion about onemanga and other host sites shutting down to childish bickering about how lazy or poor ppl are. man one of my favorite saying is, FO FREE IS FO ME!! and that the case with any1. no1 needs to hear your thousands of douchebag solutions to the epidemic cuz lets face it, who listens to the asshole? were all gona get over it and hopefully find a better site. untill then, the bitching will commence!! oh yea and all those transportation and w.e agency ppl are assholes who dont like what they getting paid so the take ur shit or charge you more for it. i hate those assholes, especially the ones who are blunt about it. smh oh well money makes the world move.

And it's certainly impossible to buy anywhere near what I'd like to read.
I live in Portugal. I'm on my second year of university and i'm not swimming in money, far from that really. Not counting with the expenses of my side activities like artificial climbing and going to the gym, i can always spare some little money until i have enough for single volume. It took me years to get the collection i have today when i don't really have that many books to begin with. I'm not telling you to spend 400 bucks at a time to buy a whole collection in one go.

I don't know what your living conditions are but you better bet your ass that i'm not going to use you as the norm when it's really the exception to the rule, if you really are as bad as you claim.

And no, i'm not "accusing" you of anything, don't pop a vessel. There's idiots on either side of this whole situation and the retard japanophile fanboys are the ones who throw that one around since that way they "pay directly" to the original publishers and authors.

Some bullshit fanboy reasoning that's completely retarded to anyone with half a brain.

Manga is not that expensive if you look in the right places, stop sounding like a Uchiha apologist.

    Or was it Sasuke apologist?

Whatever, you know we're i'm getting at.

I really think we need to drop this> it's a petty stupid arguement and the main issue here is. some manga sites are going down more will follow and new ones will come up. and eventually it will be forgotten and we'll get right back to it. personally i read manga online because i like to. I don't subscribe to jump because it's behind. i don't trust online shopping period. i can read without a crick in my neck. and i'm cheap. now can we drop this?
