Thread: The City of Naruto?

Ok pardon my ignorance, but I have to say I really did not know that there was an actual Naruto city and it's main attraction is a Whirlpool. Well in light of this news to me I would like to hear from you all what you think about this. Especially since they are commemorating 100 million copies sold with Naruto money.

For those who like me did not know about Naruto city. See below. I personally think it's cool and the latest revelation of his mom being from Whirlpool land makes complete sense.

Actually, there are plenty of cities, villages and whatever in Japan, that bear the name of Naruto characters. There is Sakura City, Yahiko Village, Mount Izuna and Kabuto Station.

But I think Nagato city, the one found in Yamaguchi prefecture, could be compared to the ranks of Naruto city best. Nagato's name means "long gate" and one of the city's attraction happens to be a really long red gateway.

You will be very surprised by the amount of real world places that are put in the manga. Great Naruto Bridge, Ichiraku Ramen and the place where Chouji eats is also real.

Mangaka normally pull stuff from real places, Japanese folklore and mythology.

Theres actually a Konan-ku (Konan city) out in Yokohama (I believe it means south port or something)

and the city that Roppongi is at is called Minato-ku

Kabuto also means Helmet in Japanese, I mean those Samurai those samurai helmets

Kabuto-Mushi is that horned beetle that all those shonen main characters like lol

The Hokage Rock was recreated in the real Naruto city. It's kickass.
