I like the expression on the kyuubi face
when Naruto hit him with a Shuriken rasegan
I like the fact that Naruto picked up the kyuubi and threw him on his back. A nice big whop of the ego of the kyuubi.
Also it doesn't bother me that Naruto would use Giant Rasengan or Wind Shuriken Rasengan because you can't use any REAL fighting moves/techniques/strategies against the kyuubi. That's why it was actually pretty cool to see the kyuubi use all of it's tails to block the rasengan. And it was fucking sweet to see it being smashed by the Wind Shuriken. And it was even better to see it on his back almost frightened that Naruto was able to throw him.
Naruto already used his two best moves and tactics against Kyubi. I guess the fight won't last long, or Naruto is gonna have to create something new for it.
The real arm-wrestling is beginning.
Even if I liked the chapter, we have to admit that Kishi just summarized pretty well what Naruto can do in this fight:
Super power with Sage Mode, with mini nuclear-bomb like attack, super strength, and capability of hiding with KB
Only raw strength, he needs something else. Kyubi's gonna give him even more raw strength, but what he's gonna do with it? Another bigger Genkidama's ...errr rasengan?
Plus, like Dark Naruto, Kyubi knows better than anyone else what Naruto is capable of.
The voices Naruto heard when he synchronised his chakra with Kyubi's are people killed by Kyubi or whose hate generated Kyubi, or something?
I think the voices are just manifestations of what Naruto BELIEVES to be hate coming from the fox but they're actually more like feelings Naruto has about what other people think towards him.
It's almost like those are the self conscious voices that keep Naruto paranoid about how people feel about him or did feel about him.
Controversial idea perhaps. How probable is it that Kushina was the Kyūbi's previous jinchūriki?
I dont believe its pulled out of thin air. The fact of the matter is it's never been addressed before and it makes perfect sense that its being brought to light at this point in time cause it just goes to show how all it takes for him to be in control of the fox is to have control over his emotions and insecurities first. Its actually quite consistent with the way the plot has been before cause anytime he lost control its because he's just gives up and gives in to his fears. All the Kyuubi needs is just a little bit of hatred or uncertainty to high-jack naruto's mind so if he wants to fully control the fox and have it roaming around free within him its only natural that he cleans up his act. And you say his inner feelings aren't consistent to the way he's been portrayed throughout the plot but what you don't get is that you can be a nice person on the outside with genuinely good intentions but that doesn't mean you cant be going through internal torment. Naruto's nice to everybody cause he wants to keep the peace and to be liked but deep down he has his doubts. Naruto, like KillerBee as a young Jinchu, has been struggling for acceptance all his life.

A container, within a container kind off? And as usual, like with gaara, when naruto was born she died. Thats the only plausible explanation I can see for Kushina death to tie into all of this. She seems to have died for naruto's sake afterall.

I mean not only does naruto have to weaken the kyuubi pokemon battle style but then once it's weakened he has to tug this huge mass of chakra into his little pitty (in comparison) self whereas the kyuubi just has to get 1 decent swipe to pull out naruto's. You see how much effort it took for naruto to tug at the chakra from 1 of its tails along versus the ease KillerBee was having to pull that amount he did from it's head with the 8 tail's tentacle? Talk about a tall order.
Naruto will get it in no time though cause, as Motoi said, Bee mastered his Bijuu in an incredible speed because he took pride in being a jinchi for his brother's sake pride, a pride Naruto doesn't yet seem to have in himself. Hopefully after he talks to his mother and she probably reveals the plan his father, the 4th Hokage, had for him and probably the scrutiny his idea, of placing such a powerful beast in his baby son, under went Naruto would get a pride resolve to prove his father and mother's faith in them right! He already takes pride in his father having faith in him but maybe he just needs and extra push from his relatives. Either way this battle is in Naruto's mind and its his will so he needs to buckle down and show that fox bastard who's the landlord.

@ Yazen and Krazy : thanks, I have a better catch of the chapter.
Nevertheless, Kyubi being the embodiement of a certain amount of hate of people is consistent for me.
I really like the "Pokemon" parallel Krazy did.
i doubt it (sorry)... if kushina the previous jinchuuriki then what about madara? where is his place on the story? isn't he is the culprit on that even.. when did naruto born? when kyuubi is taken out of its body = kushina is dead.. b4 kyuubi is taken out = omg it's the naruto oneshot story.. (wait i have to rethink some stuff)

This knowledge could lead Naruto more towards defeating Madara and not just focusing on Sasuke alone.

The idea of Naruto being born by the previous host could explain some natural affinity he has to withstanding its enormous chakra.
