Not a good movie. The fights were nothing new and the enemies had the personality of cardboard cutouts.

Only good thing was that they tried to fit all the Naruto buddies in there so maybe you will see a video game tie in soon.

TenTen's rapage was the only thing of mention to me. She plastered that Chimera with spell bombs as if they were sticky notes!! It didn't stand a chance.

While it was lame to watch, I liked what I saw as the movie crew poking fun at Naruto's perpetually limited arsenal. Those parts where his answer to any Kage-level opponent was simply 'Spam Kagebunshin! Spam Rasengan!' were cringe-worthy and lol-worthy at the same time.

There was one little inaccuracy though. Gaara still had his automatic Sand Armor when Naruto punched him. It should have gone with the Shukaku.

Refresh my memory, when did they mention that the tailed beast was the reason for the sand armor?

There were a lot of theories about what Gaara could do when he lost the tailed beast (including not being able to control the sand), But so far that has not been the case. But again let me know which episode mentioned that cause I want to see that one again.

Sorry, it's been a long time since I read those parts. But I distinctly remember a couple scenes where it's revealed Gaara can't control the sand armor on his skin and has never been physically hurt because of it. It was due to the Shukaku's will, so I assumed he'd lost it after losing the Beast.

^If you remember the kage summit battle, witcher-san, then you'll recall sasuke commenting on how Gaara's absolute defense (auto sand shield) was still around even after losing his biju.

"You have other hearts trapped within you as well, dont you?"
"You're that guy from last time! What are you talking about?!"
    "The other Hearts within you."
    "Hearts trapped within me....?"

@Luphreico- I did not wonder why he couldn't absorb Rasenshuriken, That was someone else. I did indeed get that part .

But what I'm REALLY wondering about is why they made Gaara fight Naruto in this movie. It was pure fanservice and honestly made the movie a bit worse.

Can I also ask why every fucking villain, whether in the movies or fillers, look like complete shit? Like these are the ugliest goddamn people on the planet. Everybody has fucking Dragon Ball Z hair and oil shine faces. I know they are going for "unique" looking villains but if everyone one of their "unique" villains look alike then really they are just creating common shitty villains.

If Gaara should have fought anybody it should have been Lee or somebody. I would have much preferred that rematch than the one between him and Naruto.

So like I said in my first post...The ending was the best. Really made me lol

Edit: @ Witcher- I'm not bashing but assuming things in manga/anime is like trying to guess which leaf will fall of the tree first. Didn't we all assume Kisame and pretty much every other villain fought anywhere died at the hands of the hero? What happened after that? The hand of God reached down and threw it all back in our faces

They said that it was due to his mother's will, but that was most likely just a "cuter" way of explaining it. We don't know if he's lost the automatic armor yet. It could be possible that it's rooted in his subconscious now without the Ichibi and is still protecting him, but with his own chakra. I would prefer it if it is gone though. The sand shield is a nice way of having the Ichibi protect its host.

FU Man. There was nothing to 'get'. It was weak writing. There was no repercussion to the rasenshuriken. Notice how Naruto uses it without even being in Sage mode, which was the whole point of why Naruto says to himself during the training arc "Maybe I can use that jutsu now" after learning sage mode.

The enemy in this movie couldn't absorb the shuriken due to plot-no-jutsu, like all the other nonsense in this movie (and every other movie), it's as simple as that, so don't insinuate that I was oblivious to something that never existed.

The final battle was actually an improvement over the manga's FRS arc. I always hated the tacked-on limitation of the Rasenshuriken(After all the other drawbacks it showed against Kakuzu, what purpose did it have aside from Kishit's eternal taboo against giving Naruto new jutsus?) and also how retarded Kakuzu had to become in order for that cheap tactic to work. This fight was what the Kakuzu one should have been.
