sorry for being too lazy to look it up, but maybe someone else here can back me up? (if i have some time, ill look it up for you) i thought that jirayi once told that he had an informant inside akataaaaasuki (w/e). somehow i always thought it was kabuto. but than again, kabuto tried to kill naruto once...kinda contradictive i guess.

I believe I think I know what conversation you are reffering to and I think that you understood wrong. Jiraiya simply said he got info about Akatsuki not that he had an informant...It was when he was talking to Kakashi before the Itachi and Kisame fight that he fisrt mentioned he had a "source" that told him stuff about akatsuki, but then again I don't want to be caught talking out of my butt, so I'm gonna give you the reference. Ill find it and post it, it will take me maybe 30 mins I will update this post... [Edit] I found the conversation it starts chapter 143-4>>onward I doesen't mention anything about an informant. I think there is another such conversation but I'm not willing to dig another 30 mins...hehe

    1) I think you misunderstood some translation, as reaper said!
    2) @ reaper : your sig is definitely too big... IŽd change it/make it smaller...

Bee got fooled to think that the sword actually likes his chakra. If we want to make sense of this (Kishi), the situation should have been more like this: (maybe it's, and we are lost in translation)

Kisame and Zetsu want to infiltrate (also capture Bee, whatever). Kisame knowing his sword well enough to predict that Zetsu's clone wont have sufficient chakra to attract the sword, compared to Bee's, although Zetsu can imitate the taste of chakra. So, even the sword get fooled to not feel Kisame's presence and see Bee's as the better one.

Otherwise, it's simply that Kisame and his sword has an understanding (that is he can control it 100%) but pretend that he couldn't.
Killing time while waiting for the next chapter. OnePiece, that is.

Yea as i said, im not doubting you I just wanted to know where it was you got that notion. I know for a fact that Kabuto mentioned to naruto and company that he liked how Konoha were killing akatsuki members left and right since the more people they killed off the better it would be for him and Orochi but I dont remember him giving them info until he met up naruto after Orochi's death. He was an informant for Sasori however.

Looking forward to seeing the snake master in action against a top class shinobi. I've always wanted to see Orochimaru without his Handicap. For someone who was hailed to be the most feverish lover of jutsu and made it his personal mission to find them and acquire them through his near immortal lifetime we never saw much out of him in that respect. Kabuto hasn't shown much outside the medical realm but it'll be good to see someone with Orochi's power without a health problem.
well, we did see Orochimaru without the handicap. It was the fight he had against Hiruzen. This is when he definitely wanted to kill him, and relied on his summons rather than just using himself..

But that was in the early parts of the manga, before kishi decided to put everyone's powers on hyperdrive. The next time we get to see a bit of what Orochimaru is capable of is in the shippudden saga when he's fighting tailed Naruto on the bridge. In this battle he mostly shows that he can take a beating without showing any signs of weakness.

That reminds me, I don't really get how Orochimaru's cells are enough to give Kabuto this inevitable immense power though. I figured orochimaru's power was greatly due to Orochimaru's forbidden jutsus rather than his biology/experiments. After all, Sasuke pretty much gained his best stuff in his mind via genjutsu (or reverse possession).
I have a feeling that Kabuto will be really powerful when he's finally in battle but it'll be so much more powerful than Orochimaru ever was, and not even based on Kabuto's presence in the equation, but just because kishi will be inconsistent regarding orochimaru's biological power.
