Thread: Naruto Chp 487 Discussion/488 Prediction

I really didn't like the way Kisame was pulled out of Samehada's ass. "We are so masterful, that we were able to plan for something that we had no way of foreseeing." Just too convenient.

My main grind with this latest chapter is the reveal of Zetsu's new plot power, and the lack of forethought that went into it. Just a few things off the top of my head:

1. Clone autonomy: Is the clone under Zetsu's control, or is it doing its own thing? If it is autonomous, does it have to know the plan ahead of his last touch?

2. Infinite chakra: Kisame supposed to be be top dog Chakra-wise in Akutsuki, but Zetsu is able to create a "perfect clone," even down to the chakra. There should be more chakra in the clone than Zetsu has personally. Nice trick.

3. Anyone he touches: Can he only create clones of people who are still alive, or will he be resurrecting all of Akutsuki next?

Oda should hold a seminar for Kishimoto and Kubo on how to do plot outlining.

agreed, it definitely reeks of retcon. You can so tell that kishi came up with this explanation as an after-thought.

Sure, it was given enough explanation that it's relatively acceptable, but if you analyse it further, you can tell that it's not well planned. Such as as you mentioned, that the switch was made underwater, before anyone knew that samehada would desert him, also, from what I recall from what kisame once said to Gai, that the samahada doesn't recognise anyone but him, yet zetsu must have been wielding it, and it was clear that he was about to cut off killer bees legs, it's so unlikely that he would have been able to predict samehada's betrayal at that precise point.
And also, as I have mentioned, if Zetsu always had this kind of ability, it would have made Akatsuki's jobs a heck of a lot easier.

deidara was able to get his arm back because it didn't get sucked into the dimension. the event horizon, or corona, whatever you want to call it, was small and only severed the arm.

Well, well. At least Naruto´s "breakdown" was a comic relief. I really think it´s only acceptable for Naruto to take out Kabuchimaru. Oro is the reason everything happened...

Also, I really want to see how the situation in Konoha evolves. What happens to ROOT? What´s with Tsunade?
And does Kakashi and more importantly - Naruto - get some training and new skillz, to be able to keep up with Madara and Sasuke?

is just Kishi pleasing his fans(and that he is still aware of his fans).

At this point anything but Sasuke's face is a good. There's alot of good potential for the next arc but as always the dimwit Kishimoto will waste it and give 3/4 of all the panels to Sasuke and his idiocy. But who knows? maybe he will actually grow a pair and do something interesting for once...You can never go wrong with Kakashi killing someone or doing a joint Naruto/Kakashi training arc or something like that.

I would like to see Kabuto fight Kakashi or at least the kage of the Waterfall village which is where he is now.

Also STOP MAKING UP NAMES FOR KABUTO. ITS KABUTO AND NOT ANYTHING MIXED WITH OROCHIMARU.

Why the hell would you combine his name with someone else's since he's fucking mastering his powers and NOT being controlled by Oro. Until it says he's being manipulated by Oro then you can combine names but refrain from it for now.

Don't you know Danzo's death is gonna be retconned. He still lives in the tree.

This is Naruto, nobody dies in this manga.


Edit: Zabuza and Haku are alive living gayly on the countryside together. Hidan is alive with his rice cake shop. Deidara is now making a living doing construction work for the bridge building company and Pain actually has 8 bodies but this 8th body doesn't have chakra so is irrelevant to the story

well hidan is most definitely alive. Just in pieces and at the bottom of a ditch.

apparantly in one of the fan books it says hidan can still die of starvation/malnourishment, so unless zetsu bailed him out or he managed to somehow also become a plant man odds are he's dead by now

Zetsu's power should have limitations. Otherwise, he can be a one man army.

Yep, if Zetsu was tracking the Hidan's fight, then all of Shika's effort goes to waste. Let's just hope Kishi is done with that character.

I dont think Kishi come up with the switch the last minute. It was just done poorly.

well from what i know so far he is weak against earth affinity nin.....
and also apperently he have to eat to stay alive. remember that part where he eat other people's chakra (the kage summit), IMHO prolly he can't make his own (prolly also why he can copy other people chakra too), which mean that he is weak against shino's bugs that also do the exact same thing..

bottom line if there ever will a shino vs zetsu fight, for them it'll be either eat or be eaten.
