Well, it's glad to see Kishi's finally taken Sasuke off the fence. Most of the Uchiharads and Sasuke apologists will now fall back to their last resort argument 'Gaara was forgiven, why not my Jesuke?'

But Sakura vs Sai? Who the hell wants to see that right after the Danzo fight? What's the point? They don't even have a good reason to fight. If Sasuke's been detected Kakashi should just pull the team together and go after him. It'd be interesting to see what he has to say when he sees how his star pupil turned out. 'Those who break the rules are trash, but those who abandon their comrades are lower than trash.'

But BF, its that line right there that makes me believe Karin isn't dead. Most of the time when someone is deemed a burden, it usually means they are in for a super training session to become stronger.

It seems like quite an interesting dynamic all the guys having such a nice discussion as to who will be the diversion. I will admit it is kind of confusing to read though, but I get the gist I believe.

Why would she need training she seemed to do a pretty good job helping him figure out Danzo's abilities as well as healing him, it would be pretty pointless to train her or kill her. Especially seeing as how he needs her to regain his stamina after that fight.

But this is a strong argument actually. Gaara's case is the evidence that you can murder people and get away with it in naruto world.

It just shows that the very same scenario can happen with sasuke. Especially if Kishi justifies his acts by "he was consumed by darkness" crap.

Yeah, he was drunk when he killed people, but now he's totally sober so let's just, y'know, forget it all.

Sounds like a good chapter. Thanks for the spoilers. Giving more insight on Danzo's character is a good move on Kishi's part. It ties up all loose ends revolving Danzo. Also, I'm guessing from all that "A Shinobi Should..." talk, Danzo will leave Sasuke with an important sentiment before dying. That adds on to Sasuke'd character.

Off Topic: Since Sasuke is a main character, I'm pretty sure he'll get redeemed. However, it'll be like one of two things: he'll be like Soujiro in Rurouni Kenshin, where he leaves at the end, on a journey to atone and learn more about himself. I can't see Sasuke returning to Konoha right off the bat. Either that, or he'll die a Martyr, thus restoring the Uchiha's name to glory, blah, blah.

In the end, Sasuke's retarded psychopath nature is needed for Naruto's character development. Naruto swore he'd find a way to break the chains of hatred which plague the ninja world. Sasuke is essentially the epitome of that hatred. By saving Sasuke, Naruto accomplishes his end goal.

Sasuke was thinking the same thing i'd hope he'd think, "Ever since you got taken hostage you became a burden". Karin was always the weakest (although most helpful) of sasuke's team so if he's to continue going down this dark path and continuously fighting against tough opponents like he's been doing then he's going to need to stand alone eventually. The more "groupies" he takes up the more he risk similar situations like the one with Karin and Danzou. He's protected her in the past but this is the first time (technically 2nd time since he abandoned Juugo and Suigetsu) sasuke had to choose between the well being of his teammate over his target. It's now plain to see that sasuke puts his revenge as his highest priority over everything else.

And if for some stroke of luck Karin does survive (Karin has a fail safe heal herself tech or Juugo and Sui makes it in time and Juugo heals her cause she was compatible with the curse seal or WHATEVER other bs reason comes up for her living) then she would DEF. not see sasuke the same again and she would leave him. Im not completely settled on people dying once their stabbed untill at LEAST 5 chapters has gone by or until the scene and day change or something. Hinata got stabbed and she survived until a chapter or 2 went on -_-
