^^ I know what you mean. Used to hate lookin at spoilers but I've been with this story soo long now I just want to find out what happens. I pity the people who've been reading Berserk since the beginning

I suppose I'm getting more excited than this deserves, though these days my enthusiasm for Kishi's writing is usually low, but I don't lie and I don't exaggerate.

But the old 'underdog' excuse, I thought up an answer for that months ago and have been itching to use it. Forgive me, but isn't the classic underdog tale about how the down-on-his-luck weak hero eventually grows stronger and surpasses his peers and opponents? Like how in Part 1 Naruto really went from dead last to Sasuke's near-equal? That part is so far absent in Part 2, and I think being this close to the final stage of the manga we should be seeing the gap between them narrow a little more, yes? It would certainly be anti-climatic if Sasuke pwns Naruto as easily this time as he did hundreds of chapters ago during their last meeting. Especially with all the overblown hype about Naruto being stronger than Sasuke/on a different level and so on.

True, Naruto's growth is taking it's sweet time. I don't think anyone will argue with you on that. He has many options for growth though, the most promising being Killer Bee aided training but also still has that crow thingy (which is obviously gonna save his life when he fights Sasuke somehow), and not too many chapters ago he was talking about training up sage mode to last longer than 5 minutes. He'll get there Witcher I mean hell... We've waited this long eh

The fact is, Sasuke's being set up for a fall. He's becoming a bigger douche every chapter and he's getting corrupted by his "godly" power. He used to be a bit of a douche but fairly likable... Now it's fairly obvious he needs a whuppin... bad. And if it takes him attacking Konoha and maybe pwning Naruto a little for Naruto to get stronger then that's what it takes. The fact remains that Naruto IS gonna whup him at some stage. Sasuke's been Uber power-upped for a reason... fear and drama.

So long as plot doesn't have anything to the pwning. Just don't hope too much on all those 'promising' training hints. People were expecting great things from Jiraiya's timeskip training, too, and look how that turned out.

Pain was already BADASS

Forever the pessimist I see I guess I just have to be optimistic cause if this manga does turn out shit it means I've wasted a LOT of time... And that CAN'T happen!!!!

I'm not saying Sasuke's abilities aren't completely off the scale. I just think that even though Naruto has a limit on his sage mode (which is 2 futon rasenshurikans not five minutes) it still gives him an overall advantage. Not to mention he's still got the crow and if the final scene of the Pain battle where Naruto's eyes had the kyuubi and sage mode look wasn't enough of a foreshadowing that he can get out of genjutsu than idk what is. If you think about it he completely resisted Pain controlling him which I think is probably harder than breaking out of a genjutsu.
