Thread: My Sasuke Theory

Well before I get to my Sasuke theory I've read some talk about how some people think that now that Sasuke has a flying summon Naruto will have the same trouble with him as he had with Deidara. http://www.onemanga.com/Naruto/420/03-04/ This makes me feel as though he will have no problem with aerial combat. Moving on... As most of you know Kishimoto said that Sasuke was going to go through major changes this year and the look in his eyes was going to grow even colder after his fight with Danzou. What I think is going to happen is that somewhere during the course of this fight Sasuke is either going to realize himself or be informed by one of the bystanders that the reason Danzou seems unable to die is because the eyes in his arm are more than just sharingan. They contain the lives of the fallen Uchiha and assuming that Sasuke kills Danzou more times he is going to realize that he, in a sense has been killing his Uchiha comrades. This would explain why every time Sasuke "kills" Danzou one of the eyes close. I can see this having an extremely profound effect on Sasuke. As for how the this will affect Taka I'm not sure.

I don't think Sasuke cares much about his "fallen Uchiha comrades" simply because he didn't really know any of them. All of his flashbacks focus on how he only cared about what Itachi thought of... not even his parents, much less any other people.

You should reread chapters 223-4. It is very evident that Sasuke though very highly of his parents opinions. Look at chapter 220, Sasuke obviously had a great deal of respect for the Uchiha clan. He obviously knew Uchiha family members. He was seven years old and lived with all of them in a corner of the village. I'm not sure I understand your thought process.

I just read those chapters and still, what his parents thought probably wouldn't affect him as much as Itachi. Itachi was the prodigy of his time and Sasuke wanted to be like him because he admired him. Then finding out that the person you looked up to more than anyone else has killed your entire family, yet spared you for reasons that he never explained to you. Then, finding out years later why he actually did that just made Itachi more interesting to Sasuke. In other words, Sasuke most likely known his other clan members, but Itachi had more of an effect on his life than anyone else.

Because Sasuke regarded Itachi more highly than anyone else in his family it does not mean that he didn't care about his family. If that were the case than he would not have went on such a long, dark quest for revenge after Itachi killed his family. There was an entire chapter about Sasuke trying to get his fathers approval to say that he doesn't care about his parents is absurd. Look at http://www.onemanga.com/Naruto/225/14/, even after their deaths Sasuke is still curious about what his parents talked about while alone, obviously proving that he had a very deep respect for his parents. http://www.onemanga.com/Naruto/225/08/ In the very same chapter Sasuke looks extremely sad when thinking that his grandparents are no longer alive, proof that there were Uchiha besides his immediate family that he had very deep feelings for. I think you might have misinterpreted my opening post. I'm not trying to debate who had the most profound effect on Sasuke. I am simply saying that after this fight, if he comes to the realization that he has been killing his Uchiha comrades that would deeply hurt him, sending him into the dark spiral Kishimoto says he will soon go down. The way you worded your post does, however, make me think of some interesting parallels between what Itachi did to Sasuke and what Sasuke did to Naruto. Just like Itachi couldn't kill his younger brother to gain power, Sasuke couldn't kill Naruto to gain power. Even though Itachi gave Sasuke every reason to hate him, he still cares about him. The same can be said about Sasuke and Naruto, but I digress.

Finally, someone said it. With what you've said reminds me of that much talked about 'cycle of hatred', but to me it comes across as some here as said as a motivation to the other person to fight and become stronger. Here's two quotes i remember:

A little off-topic, but seeing as Naruto is pretty much destined to break that cycle, it'll be interesting to see the destined battle between them, but I expect it will go much the way of the Pain battle in that respect.

The stakes are too high now. Sauske killed a Hokage (even if he was a dick) and has declared his emnity to Konoha in front of many witnesses. He can't ever go back. He would be tried and executed. The most we can hope for is a rather fatal redemption ala Darth Vader.

I suppose its possible, that in order to not devastate the young target audience, we might get some final hint that everyone only THINKS he's dead and that he's out there somewhere.....
