I wish people wouldn't keep rehashing the 'But Sasuke's getting beaten! That's not badass! That's negative development!' argument First of all he's not always getting beaten. He gets beat down by an extremely strong opponent, following which he pulls out a new uber-technique and triumphs(or at least overpowers the opponent). He gets injured/exhausted in the end, but that's a formula used in many of Naruto's fights as well. And whether or not it's a 'clean' victory doesn't count as much as how good the fight was to watch; you could likewise argue that Naruto was only getting beat down by Pain and only won because Nagato never intended to kill him and conceded defeat in the end.

And I do think the Naruto-Pain battle wasn't nearly as good as when I first read it - it's cool but honestly Naruto only won because he had many distinct advantages, like not fighting all the Pains at full power.

Next chapter, we'll either get this big cliffhanger turn to nothing by way of it being Sasuke's genjutsu (rather lame) or it turns out it's really Itachi appearing. But then, this Itachi apparition appeared from Sasuke right? Sasuke turned to crows which reformed to become Itachi. So where is Sasuke then? And is it possible that the one summoning the hawk was Itachi...?

Doubt it but then you never know...

If Itachi appeared so that he can talk some sense into Sasuke, I doubt that's going to work, as well as it's a poor place in the story to put this kind of conversation. Both Danzo and Madara are not going to stand around idly while the two talk. Moreover, talks with ghosts usually happens in dire situations so that epiphanies can occur. Playing whack-a-danzo with Susanoo isn't much of a dire situation. If Kishi just used Itachi's face to leave the Sasuke vs. Danzo fight on a cliffhanger for a few chapters, I wouldn't mind it.

rant/ I'm tired of looking at overpowered emo boy; you have Susanoo AND Amaterasu and you STILL can't kill people? You suck, just give up. Idc how many sharingans Danzo has, you have 2 of the strongest jistu out there and you still can't kill him... use Tsukuyomi you idiot, or just paralyze him with that spike shit you used on 8 tails. /rant

As for Sasuke pulling a hawk out of his ass... well, even if he's a failure ninja, I guess he's a pretty good magician.

I have no idea how 478 is gonna go, but if it ended up being that second option from the spoiler, i'll be really happy. Sasuke's gotten endless upgrades from his fight; Naruto needs to go Super Sayian Kyuubi or some shit already.

Itachi summoned the hawk? If only! I wonder what PIS Kishimoto will use in future fights to justify why Jesuke isn't sniping everyone from the air using Amaterasu.

A few people pointed out that there aren't any villains left for Naruto to fight besides Sasuke and Madara. I think creating new villains is a given since there's no way Kishi can build up a Fourth ninja war that consists of Sasuke soloing all five villages. Madara needs more allies.

Lastly, is it just me or has Kishi gone to great lengths to obstruct Susanoo's right arm from view? Look closely, in the last few chapters it's always blocked by something.

Madara has 7 tailed beasts. If he can manipulate Kyuubi, who's to say he can't manipulate the other 7 as well.

Tch. As I said, I hope Kishi somehow redeems himself. I just read the manga so I can see it end...it really isn´t that entertaining anymore.
I wanna see Naruto pull himself together and do something, dammit!

As for Danzou - I really think he just plays with Sasuke for the moment... I mean, he´s that old and doesn´t know any powerful jutsu? And what´s with all those Sharingans? Apart from keeping him alive there should be some other tricks as well!

I personally agree with you a 100% and likin Sasuke and Madra as the emperor and Anakin when Mace Windu gets killed and Anakin is like what did I do. At that point he is completely evil, Anakinwas playing both sides before that, as was Sasuke when he didn't want to kill the guards when breaking Juugo and Suigetsu out. Similar to Anakin not pulling out his lightsaber and making him tell him where his mother is. Also I compare Naruto to Luke after Han gets captured he goes off and trains seriously realizing he is the only hope, he already fought Vader and lost badly, which Naruto fought Sasuke and was destroyed. Then when you see Luke again he is in full control of the force and has made his piece I have grown up and ready for my destiny. This is how I see Kishi doing things and to me it makes so much sense, I only wonder if Naruto will bring Sasuke back from the dark side as Luke did at the very end. I can understand Sasuke being cool he is the bad guy, how many bad guys aren't cool.

I don't deny that Sasuke has grown immensely or that the opponents he is fighting now are all very strong. My argument is that he hasn't been fighting smart lately, to me that isn't bad ass. When Sasuke beat Deidara that was bad ass because he was cool, calculating, and smart in how he went about it. The battle with Raikage was kind of badass, as Sasuke showed that he can now handle a Kage quite well but he handled the whole situation like a child and would have died if Madara and Zetsu weren't taking care of him. If Sasuke is using the image of Itachi to mess with Danzou's head that is bad ass but if it is something Itachi set up then it is just going to show that Sasuke still needs his brother to take care of him.

I do argue that Naruto only won against Pain because of the circumstances. I really don't see how anyone can think that Naruto is on Pain's level, Pain took on the entire village before Naruto even showed up with a totally stacked deck, even with that he needed a Hinata, Kyuubi, and Minato combo to save him. Then Pain used the last of his chakra to resurrect nearly half the village. Kishimoto created that sinario because it was the only possible way to have Naruto beat someone as powerful as Nagato.

I honestly haven't liked the way that Naruto has been portrayed since the time skip, so for me the frustration with his character is nothing new. The fact that he learned basically zero new techniques during the time skip was frustrating enough and then his obsession with Sasuke eclipsed even Sakura's. All the scenes of him crying over Sasuke weren't enduring at all to me. I don't have a problem with him trying to save Sasuke but I think that he has been a girl in how he has gone about it. Lately, however, I think things are slowly starting to change for him a bit. I actually do think that he is on the cusp of maturing. He has grown as a fighter (finally) and he has a lot of potential to grow even more. I think that he is now beginning to see what Jiraiya and Itachi were talking about. He is realizing that he can't just charge after Sasuke and ask everyone stand down to his wishes just because he has some personal need to change Sasuke. This could be a major breakthrough for his character, it may be frustrating to watch but it does make sense that he would be simple and childish in how he goes about solving his problems at first. Realizing that your opinions are flawed even when their ideals are right is a part of growing up, I still have faith that Naruto will mature while remaining true to the core of his ideals. I certainly hope so anyway.

So sasuke can now summon birds of prey?? Aweseom *not*. Im guessing its prob has something to do with Itachi's "transfer". He seemed more of a bird brain anyways so im leaning to the fact that it was prob his. Him appearing at the end as well is prob a Genjutsu as well..... sasuke's prob trying to mind fuk Danzou but having an Itachi illusion do him some damage and I like how even Madara noted that "Sasuke using both Susanoo and Amaterasu just to feel out Danzou is OVER DOING IT". Sasuke's just going balls to the wall for this one. I hope Danzou fuks him up some more.

Is it too much to ask for Kishi to have naruto get into fights and bust out random new moves that he could've learnt off screen?? Im not even trying to spark up that debate on "Naruto have toooooooo fewer moves than sasuke" but daymn..... is it really to much to ask for?? Maybe Danzou should've thought naruto some moves cause its obvious he's proficient with Fuuton.

maybe it's all a genjutsu....the hawk summon included...
