Naruto Chp 473 Discussion/474 Predictions

i'm still waiting to hear you guys' theory on where samehada originated from. i still say that maybe it was the jyubi's sword... just a wild hunch. but it seems that the only thing missing in kisame's sentence was "no jutsu" just seems weird to me that he just stood there trying a jutsu instead of defending himself properly. maybe he had an ace up his sleeve... or maybe he just died. dunno it was soo sudden for kisame to die like that...with all his skill...kiiiiisaaaaameeeeeeeee...waaaaahhhhh...... byyeeeeee byyyyyeeeeee.

^From the looks of it Jyuubi didn't even have hands. Maybe it belonged to the Rokudo?

Pretty short chapter. The brothers beheading Kisame with lariats made more sense seeing they were using chakra-shrouded arms.

1)I still don't buy how Raikage and co found Bee so quickly. Chakra sensing on a national or trans-national level pushes the boundaries of belief too much, and there's no explanation of how they covered that much distance in so little time after sensing Kisame's chakra(he can't have created that water shroud more than 15 minutes ago). Poor writing here Kishi. Next time think these saves through beforehand.

2)How come absolutely no one including Raikage's own brother has pointed out his missing arm? This is a major thing; it affects his taijutsu ability and prevents him from ever doing moves like the powerbomb. It's like Kishi is deliberately trying to avoid references to mutilation.

3)Jeez, Naruto's conversation is being dragged to high heaven. He's been standing on the same spot for four chapters now! Ever since the Pain battle Naruto's reverted to his Year of Sasuke state: all we see him do is travel and talk. Bring on the training arc already!

1) How much distance do you think they covered we dont even know how far they were from Bee and we dont know how far the location of the Iron Country is from the random piece of land Bee is at for all we know it's only a short trip, most of the other countries are small so traveling from one to the other shouldn't take long at all.

2)Maybe the reason knowone else pointed it out was because most of them were there when it happened and considering the fact the Raikage doesn't see it as a big deal why should anyone else.

3)Your complaing about how fast everything seems to be happening but you cant wait to see a Naruto training arc fast enough lol

It's not snowing there, so it's at least in a different part of the Iron country. Being able to sense chakra that far and cross the distance in 10 minutes time is... <sigh> And even so it's poor writing; what a convenient coincidence that Bee was hiding in the same country where his brother was!

Ok.... first off they SAW that massive bubble fish tank of a Jutsu that Kisame did a Mile away (which is possible since it was fricken huge and not to mention the fact that it moved quite a bit at really fast speeds) then upon seeing such a spectacle that guy scanned the area (cause i mean in the ninja world even something so big and krazy must arouse suspicion) to see what chakra was in it only to be in luck to have sensed KB's. Was it a lucky coincidence and plot induced, Yes, but i mean shit man EVERYTHING is plot induced. Thats like being pissed at Gaara not being able to finish off Lee cause all the Jounin ran in to save him or hating Kishi (which i do) for taking away Orochimaru's ability to use his arms due to him using "plot no jutsu" to have the 3rd Hokage's effort to protect his village NOT go in vain. Its all plot man.

And as its already been said we have no clue where the exact location of Bee is. If you want to be technical about it look at the map.

Upon consulting the map I think we could rule out that he's not in Mizu territory, cause its all water, and there no way in hell he'll be anywhere romotely close to Lightning Country (cause he's a big celebrity there) so chances are he'll go FAR. The conference was in the Land of Iron which is said to be at the center of the bigger nations and looking at the map we can see that it shouldn't be that long of a trek for the people of the land of Fire, Wind and Earth (that could prob be why Naruto, Kakashi and Yam got there so fast). KB was prob somewhere in on of those nations in between the fire and earth country. Raikage and his boys were searching for Bee while on their way back to Lightning country to let his people know that Bee was still alive and that they were to order a massive search party for him. So it seems like, geography wise, they were heading back home when they saw Kisame's Aquarium. Plus we have to put into consideration that these guys are ninjas! I can cover 2 miles ( in tropical jungle and Texas back country brush) in under 15 mins.... and thats when I was in Military boarding school so a Navy Seal could prob do it in 6 :/. Calculating and trying to estimate time and distance in this, and other, manga isn't exactly the best thing is it?

OK chapter I guess, perhaps Kisame has some secret chakra reserves and he glues his head back xDD

I´m happy that Ao got out of that alive, and I wanna see what Danzou´s up to...

Wow another Akatsuki hits the floor, I have to wonder what Madara is thinking, so far he seems to have drastically over estimated the odds of things going in his favor. Sasuke failed to capture Killerbee, Nagato betrayed Akatsuki, Kisame failed to capture Killerbee, and Sasuke also failed to weaken any of the Kage's enough to take them hostage. Now Madara only has 7 bijuu while the leaf villages have 2 of the stronger (if not the strongest jinchuuriki, not to mention Killerbee just got a huge upgrade in the form of Samehada) and 5 villages of Ninja. As it stands, it seems like Madara would have been much better off calling for a war way back in the early days when he still had all of Akatsuki at his command. Now he just has 7 bijuu, Sasuke, and Zetsu, that force seems to be far weaker than what Akatsuki was back in its prime. I guess Madara really was holding out for fear of Itachi after all.

I am really beginning to wonder how Madara has a hope in hell of winning this battle. I realize that many of the risks he has taken have been to ensure Sasuke's growth but it is looking more and more like he should have been playing it a bit on the safe side. If he had sent Kisame to help out with the capture of Killerbee the first time chances are that would have gone down without a hitch. Then if he had Kisame's help fighting against the Kages they might have actually managed to capture 1 and he would be up 1 bijuu and still have the powerhouse of Kisame in his arsenal. With team Hawk paired with Kisame they could then go on to capture Naruto.

Madara seems to be putting all of his chips on Sasuke and that seems like a very risky bet, especially considering Sasuke's instability and lack of loyalty. I don't see how the bijuu will be that big of a problem, it seems to me, that each Kage should be able to handle a bijuu, especially if they have the help of their assistants. That doesn't leave much work for the ninja armies from each village. If Killerbee and Naruto team up Sasuke is done, especially if Killerbee has Samehada. So all in all, right now it is looking like the odds are overwhelmingly stacked in favor of the villages.

If Madara can somehow restore his former powers and get Sasuke to take Itachi's eyes then he will have a fighting chance but right now it seems like madness to think that he could win against 5 ninja armies.

Madara is being biased with Sasuke because of their relation.

He could have of course saved many of the Akatsuki when ever he wanted to.

Not a bad chapter. When Suigetsu and Jugo took off their Samurai helmets, did it remind anyone else of Star Wars, when Luke and Han take off their Stormtrooper helmets? I don't think this was completely coincidental (possibly subconscious).

I agree with witcher that it is very hard to believe that Raikage found them so quickly for the reason that was given. It didn't bug me that much, but it's too convenient. Maybe if they weren't just at the hokage summit, it wouldn't be so bad. But it's clearly a case of kishi getting the idea of the double lariat, and then as an afterthought manipulating the logistics of everyone's whereabouts to fulfil it.

As for Kisame, Somehow I doubt he's dead.. The fact that Kisame could have completed a jutsu just before his head flew off, coupled with the fact that the death had so little emphasis for a member of Akatsuki..

wait, the Naruto world has talking frogs, talking ape that transforms into a pole, dogs that can multiply, orochimaru who's basically a snake, etc. And you think that samehada exclusively warrants some explanation/origin?

Take into account that this battle may be longer than we are reading it. Remember the Kakashi vs Zombie Twin fight was short in the manga but the anime brought out some new scenes. I believe that this fight will drag out at least 5-10 minutes more in the manga which would explain them being able to cover that time.
