Thread: yet another new theory about uchiha massacre

I think that it is quite obvious that Danzou had some connection to Shisui as I really don't see the Uchiha Clan handing Shisui's corpse over to Danzou so I am curious about how he got a hold of it. As far as Itachi's role, I really think he did kill his best friend as it seems to be the only known way to obtain the Mangekyou Sharingan. I don't think he would tell Sasuke that method if he knew about some other way of doing it.

I am also curious to know what the circumstances were that caused Itachi to kill Shisui. At this point I really doubt that he did it simply to obtain the Mangekyou. If he really felt it was necessary to stop war it is certainly a possibility, I just have a feeling that there is more to it. Even after all that has been said the exact reasons behind Itachi's actions are still puzzling. Madara has given an explanation that makes sense on the surface but it is still vague and leaves a lot of questions, especially when his motives are considered.

Kishimoto has been very vague about the massacre, I think we have yet to see the full extent of what happened. So far we have been given a lot of mixed messages about the massacre and the events surrounding it. Itachi first said that he killed the clan himself. Then it was implied that Itachi and Madara killed the clan together. Now Madara is saying that he is basically useless as a warrior, which means, Itachi would have had to do all the killing himself. Itachi original claimed that he did not kill Shisui but then he stated that it is necessary to kill ones best friend in order to obtain the Mangekyou. I don't actually recall Itachi ever admitting directly that he killed Shisui though which seems odd considering all that has happened. Now we see that Danzou has Shisui's eye and it seems odd that he would be able to just waltz in and take the eye, especially considering how Konoha safe guards those sorts of things (remembering Neji's father).

I still have my fingers crossed that there will be an Itachi gaiden of some kind that will show exactly what happened. At the very least I would be very interested to see how exactly Itachi did it. Even with the Mangekyou it is hard to see how one person, even Itachi, could single handly kill the strongest clan. We saw how difficult a time Sasuke had at the Hokage summit, even with the Mangekyou a group of S class ninja's is no easy feat. So far most of the battles we have seen have been 1 on 1 or small groups of mostly average ninja and perhaps 1 or 2 skilled ninja against an S class. The only exception, I would say, was Nagato vs. Konoha but he had 6 bodies, Konan, and used a big bang to take most of his opponents out of the equation while the village was in confusion. I really want to see exactly how one man could take down the entire military police. Even if Madara did help in some way it seems like a very tall order. Also, Itachi didn't seem at all weakened when Sasuke showed up and even used Tsukiyomi twice, which seems odd considering the amount of power one would be expected to exude in order to take down a large group of elite sharingan wielding ninja. So I have to wonder what abilities and tactics Itachi used to wipe out the clan. I am really hoping there is a good story behind all these mysteries and it is not just a simple case of bad writing on Kishimoto's part.

^ About how Itachi did it, I always assumed he got alot of people as they slept, wasnt it at night or the evening when Sasuke found Itachi?

Also about Itachi and Shisui, if he got the Mangekyo from killing his best friend but doesnt full-on admit that he killed Shisui, perhaps someone else was classed as Itachi's best friend. Didnt he have a lover that he killed as part of the massacre? He may have had a huge falling out with Shisui before hand, their relationship could also have been friendship on the surface only like Light and L in Death Note.

Actually there is another way to get the eyes. As Kakashi proves in Shippuden. Since Kakashit did not kill his best friend, or kill anyone close to him.
Another theory could be is the Itachi did kill Shisui, though i dnt think he did, but Danzou came and took Shisui's eyes. Also. when Madara talks to Sasuke he revels that it doesnt have to be ur best friend u kill to get the eyes. But the person ( people) that are precious to you.

its the loss of ppl close to you that causes the MS to awaken.kakashi lost his students.temporarily, but he had to reconcile with the fact that gaysuke wont be coming back.

^Oh really, is that the explanation? Not the losing someone close to you to get MS, that we knew...but Kakashi getting his MS because he lost his students. Was it explained in some databook? Sorry but I honestly don't get info from such sources...I always thought Kakashi just somehow came to terms with Obito's death many years later to get his MS.

In general the theory sounds somewhat plausible but to me it just seems a bit more overkill to add even more conspiracies to that particular storyline, though it is true that there are lots of gaps that could be possibly filled by the theory. Still, I don't mind leaving it as it is and letting Kishi elaborate on something else other than the Uchiha for once. I've always been saying the Hyuuga are sidelined...for being the second most important bloodline in Konoha (well, most important, now that there are no Uchihas left) you'd think they would have a bunch of conspiracies attached to them too. Some sort of titanic struggle since ancient times, maybe. Or them sabotaging the Uchiha, perhaps. Come on, it was even said early on that the Sharingan could have been descended from the Byakugan.

kakashi getting MS is something im pretty sure kishi isnt gonna bother explaining unless sasuke ends up killing kakashi...so this is the best explanation i can think of...
its not coming to terms, in sasuke's case we see that the moment he realizes that his actions led to his older protective good guy bro dying, he starts getting MS(eyes look like he smoked 5 joints back-to-back)....although its only shown a couple of chapters later.


as for the theory, lot of us have come up with stuff....kishi always comes up with something no one thought of.

Kakashi saw his closest friend die... It was Obito.. maybe it just took him a while to unlock it..
