Thread: Danzo and Tobi?? (manga spoilers alert)

Something came to me as I have been reading the last few chapters. Do any of you guys think that Danzo and Tobi maaaaay be the same person??
I'm not on the forums much so maybe this isn't a new idea. But i just want to see what others think about it since you never really see them at the same place/time (as far as i can recall?) and Tobi only shows his right eye and now we know Danzo's right eye is the sharingan. Of course this will mean that Tobi is lying about being Madara (since he's actually Danzo) and he has been this huge puppetmaster controlling Roots and Akatsuki.

of course, i realize that there is some evidence against my claim. It has been revealed that Danzo's eyes are actually uchiha shisui's. But the only one who is really able to tell is the Mizukage's bodyguard and he is not there when Tobi shows himself. And i guess Karin should have been able to notice but maybe she didn't really get close enough to sense the connection?

any thoughts on this?

well this is a very old theory, and i think that danzo isn't madara because karin would have noticed the minute she sensed danzo's chakra when sasuke was fighting the raikage, because she has already felt madara's when taka was on there way to konoha not too long ago. she said "this guys chakra came out of no were" so she obviously knows how it feels so im sure she would have noticed something by now.

The theory has been around but they are probably not. It would be too easy. Kishimoto has more than once done some intentional exposition that would hint that they are, but it's most likely false exposition.

To throw more fuel on the fire, Danzou scramed and Ao took off after him. 2 chapters later Madara shows up and we have no peep from Ao.

why would madara need extra eyes?

maybe madara is danzo and just switches out his eye depending on who he is at the time??
i think its a big stretch but i suppose nothing is impossible in a manga...
