It's chapters like this that makes me realize that Naruto's strong point nowadays is the backstory.
If he actually wrote the main plot like he writes the past events that he keeps referencing in part 2 as in Kick ass ninjas beating the shit out of each other with giant energy monsters and all out wars, Naruto would be much more awesome.
I know want a story about the Ninja Monk and the Jubi.
And well, looks like the 4th war did actually start, only in the most non-treatening way, itīs 3 Hokages and their ninja villages vs Madara and God knows who.
Some questions that popped into my head when I finished reading chapter #467 which I'm having trouble answering, mind helping me out?
1. If Madara's entire plan is based on people falling into his massive illusion by looking at the moon, what about people who are blind? (Think back to Bleach about how Tousen couldn't fall under Aizen's illusion)
2. Just how old is the moon? If the moon is really Jubi's sealed body sent to the sky how long was the battle between the Rikudo Sage vs. Jubi?
3. Isn't Madara eventually become bored orbiting earth, hypnotizing people?
2. Just what has Kishimoto been smoking and where can I get some . . . seriously?
Madara and his whatever armies?
why do I have a feeling that sakura's group is going to come across bee?
chimps and humans have a common ancestor, but we humans haven't evolved from chimps. We're basically separate tips of the same branch.
Anyway, my thoughts about this chapter:
I'm disappointed with Madara's plan.. It's kind of stupid to brainwash everyone, it basically seems to be along similar lines to Nagato wanting to have peace in the world.. But in Madara's case, he wants to use brainwashing to achieve a similar thing. This is kind of repetitive from Kishimoto.. Why should Madara want peace? We can understand it coming from Nagato and Itachi, but c'mon.. I was expecting something a little bit more original from Madara than this. I'm hoping this isn't Madara's real plan.. the hope is there because this is the story he's telling his enemies after all.
It's clear that as the manga progresses, kishimoto has been making it more and more sharingan-centric. Some of you people still treat this manga as if kishimoto had the entire story in his head years ago and now he's just writing it down now. This isn't this case, he writes it as it progresses. Whenever I read this manga, in the back of my head I analyse the writer's intentions. Maybe this is a side effect of studying English literature. But ultimately, kishimoto's intentions are clearly different a few years ago than they are now, in my opinion he's heavily influenced by all kinds of things. Such as other mangas (DBZ), games (metal gear solid), and also fan reaction. Sasuke and sharingan is extremely popular in japan, thus they become more and more pivotal to the story. Back when the manga first began, I assure you that the byakugan was introduced as being the originator of the sharingan, and in some ways it was better than the sharingan, just as kakashi tells it. Kishimoto didn't write it so that kakashi would be a naive source of information. A writer tells his audience the story through his characters, its as simple as that. But now he writes that the founder of all ninjas left some sacred stone in the uchiha clan (of course, where else in the world would it be) and that it can only be read by sharingan and rinnegan, whereas the poor byakugan users can't see shit.
There's also a logistical problem with Madara's plan. He wants to break the 10 tails out of the moon and then absorb it, so he can use his genjutsu on the.. moon? Won't it be broken by then? It only exists to house the 10 tails. I doubt the one that housed Naruto is still around.
About declaring war, well I think it's kind of ridiculous of Madara to say that he can start a war just because he has 7 bijuu. It takes more than that. Even if for example its like Pain originally said with the combination of all 9 bijuu in the statue can destroy an entire village, that's not a war. That's just some terrorists with a nuclear weapon.
waay off topic

saying all that also make me thinking.
what if rinnengan did comes first (no blindspot).. then on their evolution line, there a mutation, comes the byakugan (a little blind spot).... and somewhere still on that line... when both eyes comes togather, as in marriage, another mutation comes and poof a sharingan was born (a huge blindspot and degrading too) :D hopefully this will end the kishi's special eyes problems
me too XD and sakura gonna give him a huge kick in the nuts

@ BF : yeah I know, but why is it then so important, and the Bykugan so "weak"?
danzo pretty much explained it, but for Kishi to just ignore what he said prior is a bit... weak :/

Let me give you an example: http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/gcsebit...mages/dogs.jpg
now this is just the result of 15,000 years of controlled breeding by humans (basically evolution on a small scale). The variation is already astounding, and you're telling me that a hundred thousand years can't create this variation between homo erectus and homo sapien and that it must be an act of god instead?
PS - you can move this stuff to general forum if you want.
isnt naruto having half biju ?
isnt this a problem with madara's plan ?
