since when did Sasuke said he want to quit Akatsuki??
when did he made the deal anyway?

well, it makes sense in a kind of way, the whole double crossing thing, he said right at the start of their mission he was only using akatsuki, although he probably could have/should have milked itachi's eyes and the bijuu's out of it, just to assure his power was enough to take konohoa/naruto/everyone lol.

I think it makes sense that he wants to eliminate all the kages, Its not liek they're gonna sit around and watch as he just kills danzo, akatsuki has attacked all of the villages. The three we know are the nicer ones, sand fire and lightning have all had to deal with sasuke and akatsuki, so its not liek they're gonna react nicely or just avoid fighting him if he shows up, he'd have to deal with them all anyways.

And if tobi really is the mizukage that really only leaves the other one, and who knows whether he'd fight back in defence, retaliation in general or just bugger off when somebody attacks.

If sasuke was being ninja like he'd get danzo in transit away frm all the other kages, maybe on the way back to ensure the guard was down a bit, thinking "ahhh the meeting is done and nothing bad happened"

and taka was "hawk" or eagle wasn't it ?

Tobi's power really really really, reminds me of that "immortal" werewolf guy's power from soul eater. "image projection" But he could still initiate attacks, and use his magic and what not.

So i'm just gonna guess its a power of his ems to transport his "image" and abilities wherever he wants, without actually sending his body. So maybe like an extension of kakishi's power like ivanov said. No proof, just since i began reading soul eater, it seemed very similar

I think sakura was crying more because the chick was insulting sakura's "relationship" to sasuke, "whats sasuke to you anyways? god your annoying"

Still, the story is moving forward at a good pace, and i liek dthe chapter, hope it stays goin good, even narutos actions are seeming a bit more mature, dealing with the lightning ninjas so well.

I think your amaterasu sniping is probably a good guess at his "little test", rather than a big stream just blink open really quick using his other eye to focus, so he just engulfs single targets in flame.
Which sadly does make him powerful without as many side effects of the mangekyou again lol

Sasuke killing the Kages may just happen. I think at the moment only the CLoud Kage can actually fight.

This chapter's made me more excited than I've been for a while now. Not because of what happened in it, but what was set up to happen for the future.

My observations:

1)Amazing act of manipulation by Madara and Zetsu. They deliberately steered their conversation with Sasuke in such a direction so as to get him to agree with their goal of eliminating the Kages. You can see the clever nudges from Zetsu: Leaving out the fact that all the villagers(which are what Sasuke really wanted to destroy) survived the destruction of Konoha and taunting him with the suggestion that he may have to face a Naruto that's stronger than him if he goes there(I hope nobody here's foolish enough to take this statement as fact). As a result Sasuke shifted his priority to Danzo, being under the belief that Konoha had been really destroyed.

2)A clever plot set-up by Kishi: Naruto and Sasuke have been positioned to go along separate paths, postponing their confrontation for a while longer. This buys time for Naruto to get a final training arc(presumably from Killer Bee) for the Kyuubi.

3)Another significant plot device: Madara's new plan('Eye of the Moon'). In contrast to the usual predictability of Kishi's plot, I really have no clear idea what this is. The buzz on most forums is that it's something to do with Tsukuyomi('Moon-eye', get it?). Personally I'm inclined to think it's something to do with the real moon that the Sage of Six Paths supposedly created with Chibaku Tensei. Possibly unleashing some creature or power sealed inside?

All this has raised a couple of questions, though.

A)Why does Sasuke want to kill all the Kages? Madara wants it for his world domination plans, but the younger Uchiha doesn't have any reason to kill any of them besides Danzo. Could it be because he intends to just snipe the whole group with Amaterasu rather than face the danger of getting close and singling out Danzo? Or does he have some secret personal ambition of ruling the whole ninja world with his repopulated Uchiha clan? Ah, scratch that.

B)Apparently even though Nagato was the one who summoned the Gedo Mazo(King of Hell statue) Madara can control it just fine without him and even sync someone else with it(whatever that means), replacing the summoner. Looks like the Mangekyou Sharingan can even control other bloodline abilities now.

Yea and as witcher pointed out y the HELL does sasuke want to get rid of ALL the fucking kages now?? And people get mad at sasuke haters like me for hating on the man. I like the guy interms of his fighting ability but his personality is just so fuked up. He takes that title of "Avenger" to fucking seriously. First he wanted Itachi, which was acceptable, then he wanted Konoha's leaders, then he practically wanted all of them to burn now he wants to get rid of ALL the other nations leaders?? WTF sasuke? U plan on killing YOURSELF when this is all said and done? He and Naruto are perfect Yin Yangs of themselves.

I hope sasuke doesn't run into Gaara and company on their way cause if they do then they'll fight and sasuke'll win. He seems like he's going to center himself around Amaterasu from now on. As much as i dislike the man's character i gotta give it to sasuke for being a creative and inventive ninja. You give the man one move and he'll find a dozen different techs or variations for it. His training regiment and work ethic is admirable

Rumour has it that the line about Sasuke killing all the Kages was mistranslated and he actually only talked about killing the Hokage at the Kage summit. Can anyone confirm or deny?

Naruto has been creative too, he learned Kage Bunshin and how many uses has he found for it? in fact, that's one of the things that make his fights interesting to watch, we always get surprised at how he uses his clones.

In the last fight he turned like a hundred of them into rocks in order to fool the enemy, plus the way he uses them to get info during a fight, or how when he realized he can use them for rasengan and for gathering natural energy for Sage Mode.

Then with Rasengan he has basically done the same thing Sasuke has done with Chidori, he invented a lot of new variations to the technique, he's not the one to blame for only knowing this jutsu, his masters are, Jiraiya only taught him rasengan and Kuchiyose no Jutso, Kakashi didn't teach him anything, and now Fukasaku taught him the Sage Mode, but apart from that, Naruto learned KB and Rasen Shuriken on his own, in my opinion he is a genius too in his own way.

True, but he really needs to be taught the fundamentals of being a ninja, ie taijutsu, genjutsu. Enemies will not stand back and let you attack them at a distance all the time. Also after sage mode he resorts back to his average taijutsu, I am sure this will never be addressed so let's just get back on topic. So I wonder what Naruto expects to do if the all do manage to catch up to Sasuke.
