I actually thought this was a big improvement over the last one. As lame as the ending of the Pain arc was, it's still gratifying to see that Naruto's finally getting the huge acknowledgment he's been trying to get since forever. I mean, it's a big step. Though it looks like Naruto has conveniently forgotten about Hinata. Poor Hinata...it's usually at a time like that that she'd have a better chance, when everyone's so happy, but then Sakura went and stole the spotlight. Sheesh, Sakura's already after Sasuke, leave Naruto alone!
I don't like to bring up the Madara=Danzo thing, but the way this is chapter played out...it really seems like Kishi wants us to believe that. Madara saying he has business to take care of and Danzo at the meeting...seems a bit like hinting to me. Of course, it could just be a red herring, but the thing is I think Kishi wants us to believe that theory, whether to mislead us or give us clues for the future plot.
Either way, that guy who decided Danzo's gonna be hokage comes off as a complete idiot. Just a few words in and Danzo screaming like a little child (he was basically saying "No! I want it I want it I want it!) and he went like "Ok! You're hokage!" I mean, sheesh. Maybe Naruto will invent democracy. Shikaku's smart, but it looks like that guy's stupider than Shikaku's intelligent. And those two elders are really getting to me. Tsunade better recover.
Oh, those ninjas the Raikage sent are funny...avalanche, lol. Wonder what they're going to do...
