Thread: Naruto Chapter 449

Unbelievable, all that time reading the chapters just to have a reason for Naruto to show off his new moves and abilities, nevermind the fact I am sure he is going to show them when he fights Sasuke though. I wonder if Sasuke is coming to Konoha baring nothing from stopping him from getting there then they should fight and have a decisive winner, that would mean only 3 guys stand in this manga being finished up by summer of 2010. A love how all these people are revived even people killed by an explosion and blasted into tiny bits were revived, but yet Jiraya wasn't revived or his friend that he stabbed.

I would be interested to see how that fight would go down IN the rubble that is Konoha, not off in some forest, that way Naruto could watch the fight and possibly get some pointers on how to control his biju. Also that would give us the chance to see what Naruto would do, a friend turned enemy trying to destroy your village or an ally of the village who will you side with or help defeat.

To top it all off Man Utd go and lose in the worst way possible and now I see that Sasuke is about to come back and you know he just dreams up jutsu's on the spot.

Naruto is gonna get clobbered!

With the exception of Konoha being destroyed (which as the Yondaime stated, "it can be rebuilt") and Pain's untimely death NOTHING happened in this arc. Naruto ended this arc the same way he was last arc, or with his fight against Neji. He still doesn't have an answer, but rather makes promises of "when he becomes Hokage, he will change everything." Danzo STILL wants to be the Hokage. Sasuke is STILL taking his sweet time to Konoha. Kakashi's personal development is STILL on hold. It's like... Kishimoto wasted this whole arc to kill Pain off.

Oh wait, there was character development. Hinata professed her love, got stabbed, and survived. What a wasted arc.

on a side note, at least we now know where the hell the third's magic crystal ball went, and apparantly its supersized.

edit: wtf, check on the last page. SOMEHOW suigetsu managed to magically get... (forgot the name), zabuza's sword. i thought they lost it in the middle of the land of lightning, in a giant battle, under a crapton of debris. this is getting stupid

What is Kishimoto thinking?

Kishimoto is thinking he could make his fav character look like a badass by destroying Konoha (or w/e is left of it, as in it's people). Which when he does would look COMPLETELY pussified because we just had an arc of action packed WAR and DESTRUCTION. Fricken Nagato/Pein actually did some work. When it's pretty boy sasuke's time to do it he's just gonna do it the lazy man way, Ameterasu FTW! (Now how lazy of a way to lay waste to a city that would look compared to the one man army/strategist that was Pein)

And yes its VERY DBZ style and Naruto still has ALL his close friends (with the exception of Jiraiya).

Here i was thinking if sasuke pulled this on him again Naruto would ACTUALLY have some credibility and say something on his level back at him. If im sasuke and some punk how hasn't lost the ones he'd love is tellin me about forgive and forget i'd say "fuck you" but if im gettin that speech from someone's who at least shares my pain to a certain degree i'd be more susceptible to believe.

That and Naruto's reinforced resolved to be even MORE friendly. I vote Naruto and Hinata be the new Asuma and Kuranai. There're gonna be seen together ever so frequently and when people ask if there're on a date he blushes and says no, but behind closed dorrs we know whats going on , then 60 chapters later we find out she's pregnant. (This will all be after another 3 yr time skip when naruto is 19 though cause the last thing Kishi wants to introduce to his readers is teenage prenancy.. He does a good job at sugarcoating death pretty well)

Heh...I really hate to say this, but I completely hated this chapter. Haven't disliked a Naruto chapter so much for so long. Bleach this week (yeah, drawing comparisons again) was way better, and that's bad for Naruto. We all get that Kishi's trying to go for the happy, meaningful ending but it just comes off as cheap and tacked on. Like he's betrayed his audience or something.

I don't want Kakashi to die, or Hinata...and even if I was hoping Kakashi would turn out to survive, I thought that "hey, at least Kishi's got the guts to kill off a popular character". Then he pulls this out of nowhere, and poof! Even Shizune's back. It would be completely ironic if Sasuke comes back and just kills everyone Pain brought back.

Oh, and I agree about the story being rushed, in this sense. Just a few chapters ago Nagato was hell bent on wiping out Konoha...and now he's utterly repented for that and has revived everyone. I mean, I bought it when Zabuza changed and when Gaara changed, but this? This is waaay too fast. Not believable. Like I said, Nagato should've returned to Akatsuki and started to slowly find his views changing rather than do a complete 180 turn in less than an hour. It would have been more believable, plus by that time he might not be able to revive everyone.

What's the point of having another "Destroy Konoha Arc" right after we've just had one? How on earth is that relevant? At most it just seems like a way to set up a Naruto-Sasuke battle (which would be kinda good, I guess, but...). I would actually prefer we see Killerbee. I mean, in all this time Sasuke's been resting, not once does Madara pop up to say "hey, Sasuke, I hate to tell you this, but...you messed up."? Seriously.

Cheap and lame and bad. That's what this chapter is.

Edit: And btw, I think Sasuke's mission will be more about assassination.

i wish i was more mature than this but gay was the word that filled my head as i read this chapter.

Sasuke is his favorite but he based Naruto off of himself (many failers, dreams and personality). Naruto is who he is Sasuke is who he wanted to be (genius, popular, the one who all the girls like).
