Thread: Tobi(madara)=obito. . .huh?

So recently ive been reading a lot of posts where people just start referring to mdara as obito. . .

I remember a while back there was a big fight about if madara was tobi and I thgouht that it was settled that he was NOT obito. . .yet there are many people now just blatantly putting it out there again. . Did I miss something now? or somewhere down the line kishi put liek a big giant hint stating that he was obito. . .? Please enlighten me.

i personally think that it's obito posing as tobi but i could be wrong....like somehow obito studied everything about mandara then pretended to be him in order to join akatsuki...but then again kakashi's "death" should have affected him if he is obito....there are no real facts yet at least not that i've seen =/

well.. it started as a theory but its been concluded that its impossible. but the people supporting this theory have never given up the hope for obito beeing marada.

the theory was that marada was a spirit ( cause he cannot get hit by anything as u might remember from the encounter with the konoha team with sino, kakashi, naruto, the dog guy.. ) and he uses only 1 eye ( the eye that obito would have, kakashi took the other eye from the other eye socket ) so the idea was that marada took obitos body as a puppet host thing..

AS far as this theory goes, now that Kakashi is dead what could stop Madara from leaving his current body in order to get that of Kakashi with the posibility to absorb Kakashis's sharingan.

Anyways I'm with the ppl thinking Madara can't be Obito.. while is true that the "eye" mistery do have a right patter (Obito gave Kakashis his left eye, and Madara only shows his right eye) as far as Obtios corpse goes... well he was smashed by a really heavy rock... the body under it shouln't be able to qualifie as a good "corpse" with bones, limbs and other stuff broken.

i don wanna argue again but the agruments ( not to argue but arguments.. yeah.. ) where that marada has some sort of ( never seen a good picture of it ) metal body that keeps him in place looks like a freaky chainmail, and that is to replace the crushed parts..

If Kakashi is indeed dead there is no point in making Obito Tobi anymore. Because we would be pretty much the only people that knew him. Without Kakshi around it makes no sense to have Obito come back anymore.

But to answer the question of the TS, yes this theory has been around a very long time, yes many people thinks it's bogus..
BUT
it was never concluded that it's wrong. It could still turn out to be true if Kishi wants it to be, he has not cleared it up yet.

heey... i remembr this.... next thing people will argue is whether danzo is tobi... and then whether danzo is the one man behind akatsuki... should we even do this argument again??

^ nope, too much of a pain. as for obito/tobi/whatever, kakashi's death means absolutely nothing for proving or disproving the theory. at best, what will happen is he will steal kakashi's eye and have everyone go into predictable shock while explaining the big evil plan of doom to everyone

Oh please dont encourage people by even bring up that or any of those theory's, we have so many of these theory threads on who someone is or isn't and who's related to who. I'm not saying it can't be true but we don't have enough evidence on any of these theory's, and I can't really remember if i've read a theory that has ever been right or close too.

What I meant is that Tobi tuning out to be Obito doesn't have the same impact on the story if Kakshi is dead. Because the shocking moment when he finds out, the emotional stress etc is all gone. To everyone else (naruto & co.) he'd just be an ex konoha shinobi/uchiha clan member that should've died a long time ago.
It would be the same if Tobi turned out to be some random uchiha dude, as far as the remaining charcaters are concerned.

Unless kishi makes up a clever plot that connects him to them somehow (besides "I'll destroy your village"), to make up for the lost Obito-Kakshi plotline.

Let's face it, without Kakshi around it's just not as interesting to necro Obito (which makes it probable that it won't happen).
