Chapter was much better then I thought. The guy buried his own parents, that sort of stuff will mess a kid up...as we've seen but his story is better then what the spoiler made it out to be.

Wow that was fast and I was just looking for it too, one minute I couldn't see the thread and then in a flash it was there.

nice chapter...flashbacks are nice in naruto...wonder if next week they'll show how yahiko died..

i guess this chapter wasn't too bad. I kind of wanted to see more of the hanzo battle, but it looks like we just join it as hanzo gives them the title.

So i guess the kids all had a hidden agenda to learn from konoha ninjas despite hating them. It still seemed their relationship with Jiraiya was genuine though..
Hopefully the events that happened after Jiraiya left them won't dissapoint.

well...this was just an OK chapter for me. it's definitely slowed down a bit, but i guess its alright. thing is, the backstory doesn't expand as much...we see how yahiko, konan and nagato meet up, sure, but we still haven't seen what really pushed nagato over the edge.

curiously enough, though, i thought that the way pain was, he seemed to have lost all emotion and feelings...i thought he didn't care about yahiko anymore. but when he told the story about how he still felt that pain, it seemed like he was opening up a bit. it also proves that no matter how much he was crapping about blasting konoha because it was unjust, it was still the drive of revenge that was really pushing him to it.

i would've liked to see more of the fight, but oh well. next time hopefully we'll get to see how jiraiya trains them, and how nagato used his rinnegan back then. jiraiya mentioned he was able to use any jutsu he taught him, and i wanna see just how he utilizes the rinnegan in this way, since we've only seen him stuck in a machine now. and i want to know exactly what happens when he 'blacks out' and kills those ninja.

oh, and the dog dying was the most predictable thing ever. is kishi trying to score points for a sob story?

The flashback was better than expected to me as well. I sooo want a Jiraiya/Sannin Gaiden. We should be gettin to when Nagato and company meet them soon. Im guessing it was shortly after they fought Hanzou then that was the time they met Nagato.
