It wasn't my intention to irritate. I posted to see if others thought what I did. 999Ghosts I laughed when I read your post.
two and a half years of silent... and you make him talk.... good for you..
Every good lurker needs his/her reason to come out of their shell of silence.
i quite agree with part of what tenken said....
i AM losing interest. but that would be keeping in mind what naruto once was....
i still like naruto, because i also loved dbz....
the style kishimoto has taken now, does not focus on anybody other than naruto and sasuke.
all other characters just do not exist.
they may have made peace with what they were in part 1, but we see no insight into what they are now.
imo, that was what naruto was about. everybody was supposed to be extremely good, with naruto STILL coming off better.
i've said it before, i don't like all other characters being sidelined the way they are...
but i still like the manga. a lot. sasuke is still important, and i kinda know what you might be feeling tenken sir...
or i might not, but i thought this was a good opportunity to state everything i've said before in one place.
I also agree with tenken too. Naruto used to be my favorite shounen manga because it was so well written. Even with all of it's problems (neglected side characters, neglected titular character, etc), the plot development, mysteries, integration of various allusions, and host of interesting main characters made Naruto an excellent manga.
But ever since Itachi's death, the plot has been on fast-forward and the small details that made Naruto enjoyable for me are getting skimmed by. The manga is turning more formula shounen, and I was drawn to the manga for being the exact opposite.
Also, Pain is getting set up as an ultimate villain, which defeats Kishi's initial claim that he was planning to make this story an epic about Naruto. When Pain finally gets defeated, even if there are bigger baddies to beat afterwards the intensity of the manga will go down due to posing Pain as such a threat.
Oh, and I've consistently been more of a Naruto fan than Sasuke fan, so stop making these retarded accusations of Sasuke-love and further acting as if the mere fact makes tenken's opinion retarded.
I can't spray paint, but I still think grafitti in Philadelphia looks like shit. You don't need to be an artist to appreciate art, and manga is a form of art. Meaning people think of it critically and judge it.like you can make one that even better...
Who are you to tell someone else what to do? People keep reading a manga they think is going to shit in hopes that it turns better and restores its former quality.if you don't like it. then stop reading it..

Meh, personally my interest in Naruto has been greatly rekindled by Itachiīs fight and backstory (Which was when Kishimoto peaked in writing) and to the Konoha invasion. Only these last 2 chapters have been pretty tame and not so good considering how it started.
And the plot is moving at the same pace since part 2 started, Kishimoto just hasnīt been introducing new villains besides Akatsuki....he could have at least replaced the ones that started dying.
Thereīs always the hints of a possible Ninja War with Sasuke "capturing" Killer Bee and the Raikage setting up a Kage summit, perfect place to "shit-hitting-fan" events.
Naruto has been going almost about ten years.
and during that time people have change, move on or lost interest.
so I wouldn't blame you or Kishi for losing interest.
Shit happens Tenken. And your FULLY justified for keepin up with it even though you lost interest. Im feeling the same way with bleach (im sure im WAYY more pissed with bleach than you are with naruto) but im still reading it. Just because the series changes a bit or the plot seems too cliche that doesnt mean you should stop reading, its a personal choice. No matter where you lie on the spectrum, hate it or love it, everyone who's been readin naruto for a while now at least want to see how it ends.
