actually, looks like some force field sort of thingy. doesn't explain how he controls rain, though. maybe he controls the elements. god pain is obviously the leader, would make sense if he was stronger in some way.

who on earth is tsunade still not backing kakashi up? she's been talking on and on about protecting the village. admittedly, sending out healing slugs is good, but i think she could kick ass if she teamed up with kakashi against pain.

damn, this chapter was over in the blink of an eye. but it was good.
I don't think demon realm is really done for, yet.

Tsunade should be fighting, too, soon. but she told the slug to use her chakra to heal the wounded.

Nice chapter, though instead of focusing solely on the battle against Pein Kishi could have included a couple of pages about what Naruto and Sasuke are up to.

Kakashi's lightning clone technique was a little surprising to me. We've seen water and earth clones before, but lightning doesn't seem to me to be the stuff a solid clone would be made of considering that it doesn't have any form or substance like water and earth do. I guess Sasuke's going to add this to his arsenal soon considering he's supposed to be Kishimoto's 'God of Thunder'.

And if all there are clone techniques for all five elements, I want Naruto to learn air clones. His shadow clone technique uses too much chakra(since it evenly divides the user's chakra), and if he gets the Kyuubi extracted by the end of the manga, his Kagebunshin fighting style will become unuseable.

What's so bad about sometimes focusing to something..? Instead of little bits here and there.

His stylewill only get better wouldn't it?? remember kakashi said that if his body wasn't using his own chakra to suppress the kyuubis chakra he could have WAY more. All the kyuubis power does is boost his at the expense of his health long term.

And i don't think he's gonna have it extracted, i can forsee him getting the other half of the kyuubis power to balance it out, which will make the kyuubi stronger but naruto's chakra won't be needed to suppress it or something. Or maybe the power itachi gave him was a way to control the ninetails inside of him.

Itachi used a kagebunshin that exploded, which is a pretty awesome bunshin technique, suicide bombing clones.

I'm pretty sure that the powers pein uses are something like possesion, where once he has all the "recievers" into the chosen body, he can activate it and use it like one of his own, liek a perfect puppet.
And the six paths are probably symbolic maximum achievments of the six main ways of fighting as a ninja, ninjutsu, taijutsu, gentjutsu, summoning, medical, and specialized techniques. We already know he can control all the chakra elements, so it shouldn't be a stretch that each path is like the "max" someone should be able to fight in any one style.

Well nafein he has to find SOMETHING wrong with it :P he complains when its nothing but sasuke, and then complains when naruto gets too much training, and then when naruto and sasuke aren't even shown :O

@ Nevermore : you might be right on this telekinesis thing.The one´s stabbed with those black sticks can be controlled (to a certain extent) by the Rinnegan.But of course these are just assumptions...

This chapter was good. If kishi has to focus on one scene then we know its going to be epic. And i mean its pain.. He's a enigma in itself. I dont want him to be switching channels back and forth between the action.

Seeing as how all the pain bodies were ninja that jiriaya fought i was hoping that there was a special way to beat each one. A special way that naruto and kakashi would know because they read most of his books and the books hold the key. This wouldv'e been a good opportunity for Naruto and Kakasho to team up. Hopefully pain's piercings aren't THAT important. Its would suk if he's thwarted so easily after you remove his jewelry.

And that lightning clone had me scratching my head for a second there too. Water's tangible so i could understand how you can make a clone, same goes for earth and wood but lightning, wind and fire?? That must require alot of chakra to mold and hold it in place?? Its a manga about ninja so i guess its kool.

Either way im feeling good about this Invasion arc so far. i DO
