The Underpowered Naruto thread

yo, Ive been here for a long time. . .I just dont post much. . .I usually just read the discussion and comment if I feel compelled that I have to comment on it ill say something.

There has been a lot of decent discussion about the usefull(less)ness of Naruto, and many posters have made intersting arguments on both sides of the table. . .I have really enjoyed reading the thoughts about this subject and really would like to see more intelligent discussion. . . what I DONT like are the sasuke fanboys trolling in the discussion saying shit like "youre saying it over and over gtfo and stfu" "Or is kishi blah blah stop talking about this subject and get over it" (Yes Razegal Im talking about you. . .you're one of many and frankly I'm sick of you guys fucking trolling around and insulting everyone when Im actaully trying to read something interesting)

SO, heres a solution. . .heres a thread DEDICATED to the subject. and ONLY THIS SUBJECT. if you want to continue this interesting discussion here, then please do it only in this post! dont do it anywhere else, just here. . .also the people who DONT want to see this subject being discussed, DONT HAVE TO LOOK at this thread! That should be really simple to understand. so Please use this thread alone, that way everyone can be happy. . .I can read interesting arguments and not have to sift through the trolls, the trolls can be happy and find something else to troll on about as they have no excuse to come in this thread to do it.

everyone wins.

If a mod could sticky this and even merge all the treads/posts about this subject into this thread, that would be wonderful, then the WHOLE naruto forum could be "free" of this subject that some people dont want to read/have intelligent discussions that dont devolve into name calling etc. . .

P.S. Probably I've hurt some peoples' feelings in this thread, but I couldnt give a flying fuck about that, Im not a troll so I m not trying to get endless attention. . .In fact, this is pretty much all I need to write, so if you guys wanna troll about (me), maybe sending me a pm MIGHT get a response. . .otherwise you're better off writting your comments on a piece of toilet paper and. . .well you get the drift.

I don't think many people will use this thread. The introduction was unorthodox and had unnecessary profanity. I lurk in this forum a lot and I really don't see that much Naruto strength discussion to be honest.

on topic: why did this thread have to be made when the witcher has already made one which also includes actual points on the topic, instead of just someone flaming people who discuss points they dont like


in all seriousness, the reason people can be dismissive about discussing naruto's underpower is that it is discussed in majority of chapter discussions and is also the main point in a lot of threads. it was an interesting topic before people began to repeat themselves

Luphrecio, I can appreciate your frustration if a discussion you're interested in is being ended by other people being dismissive, but I really think you would have been better served to create a thread with a less antagonizing introduction.

That said, come on guys. He's right at least in that if you don't want to discuss this, you don't need to post here. Not posting may make more of a point than insulting him, to be frank.

To be on-topic, I really think part of the reason those discussions are so frowned on is because they often come off as whining about how Kishi's chosen to portray and develop his characters. It might help to realize that they're just as frustrated to hear that as you are to hear them ask people to stop talking about it.

Actually, I like this thread. If people want to whine, they can do it here. That way, we won't have to deal with it in the chapter discussion threads.

Just a little food for the topic:
Naruto is an energetic, overconfident straight-attacker.
Sasuke is a tactician and uses attacks that manipulate his surroundings, opponent, or his opponent's weaknesses.

Naruto is self-destructive and a reluctant learner. (Though very fast at that.)
Sasuke has become much less self-destructive and focuses on having a very, very large variety of options and beyond.

There's a reason Naruto seems underpowered compared to Sasuke. He's sees a threat, he runs at it, hits it a few times and god modes. Sasuke stares them down (pun?) and manipulates the way the battle goes in order to have the enemy set themselves up for a loss.
