The Underpowered Naruto thread

well...as simple as this:
Naruto vs Sasuke (or other ninja of shippudden) = Underpowered
Naruto gets angry...kyubi mode ON = Naruto overpowered...but no ninja style in that, more like goku getting super saiyan.
Naruto is underpowered in ninja techniques or ninja ways of behave, BUT this is a ninja series so he sux.
Let's hope he gets hit in the head and get a new personality

Hasn't the prevalent theme throughout the Naruto series been something along the lines of someone untalented being able to conquer unbeatable odds and surpass a genius through unrelenting dedication and hard work?
...And if they can't beat the odds they get a slow-motion flashback montage with soft piano music in the background as they fail.
Naruto has to be weaker than Sasuke to make room for more unrelenting hard work and dedication towards ultimately "saving" Sasuke. Only now it's from himself rather than Orochimaru or Itachi.

i think i am the one that hates narutos lack of skill the most so ill speak up ( again .. ) why cant you people see how bad naruto is?

1. ninjas need a way to get info.

sasuke uses his sharingan ( see one of the latest chapters )

2. ninjas need to be sealthy.

how many times did naruto almost blow the coffer by shouting that he gets that he souldnt blow the coffer cause then theyre as good as dead.

3. the most important rule. people say you if you arnt stronger then your apponent you need to be smarter?

how hard is it to be smarter then naruto..

alright i know real world stuff dont apply on mangas but still with out these 3 there are meny other reasons why naruto is the worst ninja ever, i know he probaly wont ever be a good ninja.. but atleast can he be at a reasonable rank? hes still as dumb as before that means everyone outpassed him, gaara, the puppet master, temari, kiba, shino ! shikamaru, sakura maby? he sould be atleast as good as kakashi by now. come on all ninjas i just named, they might be able to take kakashi, but im 100% naruto wont be able to..its just sad for him,wtf will he do when he meets sasuke, he will get his ass handed to him if he didnt had the nine tailed seald inside him ..

so now we looked at naruto, but have you seen how good sasuke is? ATM hes fighting the 8Tails ( hes not going to lose that would make no sence for the story.. )

we know he masters lightning ( naruto does NOT master any element, he can just use wind in another skill but he cannot be creative with it, otherwise he would never make rasengan anymore powerfull, thats just overkill.. )

he trained with orichumaru ( the MJ in naruto ) so he probaly has more skill then naruto. we have seen him use snakes, ( i dont know if he lost those when orichumaru left him but he still wears the snake robe... ) and he can be creative with that, they might be able to shoot poison or entangle someone.. what creativity will you find a rasingan? ( everyone can do kagebushin even tho sasuke cant. but everyone just knows them, you know what i mean. if a snake suddenly shoots poison at you you will be suprised. but a kagebushin you always have in the back of your head.. )

we know that sasuke is FREEEKING SMART he predicted that shuriken shot from the dedaria battle in the start, and the shuriken saves his life, that was wonderfull.. so wonderfull DDD

you know he would be able to take kakashi.. even 3 kakashis at 1 time and he still would win

you know who i see as naruto? you know the best friend from the main char in shaman king? THAT USELESS LITTLE ( but nice ) GUY. that is what naruto is, how can that guy be the main char? thats whats going on here in naruto.

I'm going to start off by saying that Sasuke taking on 3 Kakashis is pure BS, and honestly, I think you need to put away your Sasuke fandom for a bit and look at it from an objective point of view. Naruto is weak right now compared to Sasuke, there's no denying that, but he's not that weak AT ALL compared to everyone else. In fact (and here's were I'm gonna hit a lot of fire) Naruto is very much as smart as Sasuke (I'll explain why and how in a bit).

First off I'm going to explain the strength situation between Naruto and the rest of the manga. If you can remember, or if you don't know, Naruto is based of off Kirilin from DBZ. Kurilin is extraordinarily weak, yet he tries his best to become strong so that he may be of help to his friends, the naturally super powered Saiyans. See any connections here? Kirilin = Naruto, and the Saiyans = ....the geniuses of the Ninja world, which comes down to Sasuke. The twist here is that this "Kurilin", meaning Naruto, actually has a power naturally endowed to him (and I say naturally because he was born to the Fourth and the Fourth may or may not have passed something down to him in the form of the nine-tails) different from those of the "Saiyans", meaning the geniuses with genetically endowed abilities. It's like how Rock Lee had absolutely no potential, yet he rose to be one of the best Taijutsu users in the series through being a "Genius of Hard Work." They have something that can match up to those already naturally ahead of the rest.

Now, to the comment about Naruto being as smart as Sasuke. You know how there are right-brained and left-brained people, or creative types and executive types? That's Naruto and Sasuke, although their styles are vastly different, which makes the misconception that one's better than the other understandable, they're working at practically the same level. Sasuke is an absolute genius at predicting the opponent's actions and laying around preparations for them, sort of like Shikamaru and his chess tactics. Also, fueling that idea, Sasuke's always showing about his many jutsus, which are kind of like his various 'chess pieces.' He would be the left-brained or executive type. Naruto barely uses a few jutsus yet uses them creatively to their max, like the many variations and uses of the Kage Bunshin. Also, like a creative type, he listens to his own emotions and largely acts based on them, hence his "Way of the Ninja" and his random promises that he never breaks, which gives him the sort of blind determination to see them through. And I don't think I need to explain his constant explosions of genius throughout the series, even taking it to the point where Choji compares him to Shikamaru.

Really, the only thing keeping Sasuke above the ladder is his ultra-powered jutsu (all of his eye techniques, etc) and how he can care less for Naruto's well-being.

what you discribe isnt left or right brained, its called immaturity, hes to playfull. i DO think if your style is creative you are the better ninja. but using kagebushin isnt the right way to do so, kagebushin is known by everyone like i explained. if he where really creative he sould have master wind instead of aiming for the most destructive skills known by ninja O.o hell, if he where really creative he souldnt have stolen anything but he sould have made up his own skills. and beeing a ninja is all about beeing creative right? you sould do things your enemy doenst suspect so it really doesnt matter if your just reall smart and can trap them like a chess player or if your just reall wacky and pull of amazing things.

i wish he would be right-brained cause i call him brainless all the time. hes reall good at training and mastering skills, i think people dont see that, wait people do see that to... hes just realllll dumb, he got all the power but none of the brain. im confussing my self now -.- maby hes right-brained but he does show creativity when he fights but he also could be reall left-brained beeing good at training and mastering but bad in actualy making up the skills. i think its better if i scale him. its like he got 10 power and 3 creativity ( he does the most obvious things, but atleast he can come up with it ) and sasuke would be like 8 power ( he got lots of jutsus and speed ) and 8 creativity ( beeing smart is the same as i discribed )

so the only thing naruto is an underdog at is actualy beeing creative. only him beeing able to control the nine tails is the only future of succes i see. then he will have BOTH, then he will be the ultimate ninja. i dont think sasuke will be able to win that. but i also dont think the reall naruto fans will like naruto going from zero to hero XD

anyways till that moment, he will be the crappyest ninja ever in my eyes

( i made up my mind, hes left-brained, the power side, he has lots of endurance and power, and for the fact that hes known for beeing a retard so right-brained doesnt suit him. but if i am really confused it could be that left is right and right is left so im still not really sure, you tell me what i think that he is and ill agree )

i edited it like 6 times i was so confused i didnt even see your post untill i was done O.o and so naruto is gifted, allot, there is no anime where one isnt gifted, but they use there gift to win. beeing smart is sometimes a gift in mangas ( FMA, Blazer drive ) or gifted in an other way like in yugiooh or shaman king. the only anime where one is not gifted, even ash from pokemon is gifted. i just wish he where gifted in the way of beeing smart instead of beeing super strong. is that a crime? have you not enjoyed death note more then in a manga where you overcome enemyes by brute force like bleach?
