Thread: Pis....

PIS is term familiar to fans of Western superhero comics which means 'Plot Induced Stupidity'. It's where an author deliberately ignores or under-utilises a character's abilities to make him/her lose a fight. In Naruto I've seen fairly high amounts of it, especially in Part II, and especially to nerf its supposed main character.

1.After 2.5 years of training unders Sainins Sasuke learns some dozen odd new jutsus, Sakura learns all of Tsunade's techniques except slug summon and Naruto learns...Odama Rasengan(and later, a basic genjutsu counter).

2.The same boy who learnt Rasengan(a technique that took Yondaime 3 years to create) in a week can only complete the Rasenshuriken to 50% after 20 years worth of training(even Naruto can't be that dense!).

3.After finally learning a new technique he can't use it because it damages his arm. Here Kishimoto totally ignores the obvious solution of letting a Kagebunshin deliver the Rasenshuriken.

4.Kagebunshins have the same chakra as the real Naruto and can do the same jutsus but die with one punch. Hence if he swarms an enemy with KBs the enemy always beats him.

There are others, and for other characters as well. Do you guys have any more to add, or discuss the above?

arnt you complaining about the same thing in the other thread you made? if this is the case, did you really need to make another one?

^I did say that it was a subject for another thread. Besides points 2 and 3 are new.
And there's PIS for other characters, like Sasuke, too.

And you couldn't add those points 2 and 3 to that thread?

maybe, but trust me when i say this has been discussed to death, i swear to god if we hadnt been shown new techniques of sasuke's everyone would just be repeating themselfs, which some people are
instead they are now able to complain about kirin or watever it is..

Same old same old, stop making useless threads about the only thing you seem to know about(Naruto's inferiority). If you dislike the manga or where its gone, go read another manga and stop complaining about it.

Heh. Looks like everyone's piling on me for what they think is another 'Naruto inferiority' thread. I stated in the OP that these are just a few examples of PIS and that it's there for other characters as well, and I thought that others would
also contribute some...Lack of interest I guess. If it makes you feel better here's a few points on Sasuke and co.
1.Sasuke vs. Deidara. I'm sure it's been discussed umpteen times, and I don't really mind that he summoned Manda and teleported out of there in less than a second. I'm more interested in how he had the chakra to do so.

2. How could Sasuke and Suigetsu take out those CS2 monsters without killing them using edged weapons? Atleast some would die of bleeding.

3.Why'd Suigetsu bother attacking Kisame in 404 after he'd already been defeated a little while ago? He knew he'd lose.

1- Sasuke was leeching off of Orochimaru like Naruto/Kyuubi especially when his chakra was getting depleted...
