Thread: The 1st versus Madara

How was the first able to overcome all of the techniques of the sharingan, and fight the nine-tails and fight Madara to defeat him?

The only thing we know about the 1st is that he could control the Kyuubi's chakra, so we can assume that while Madara used the Kyuubi to fight the 1st, the 1st somehow suppressed it. How he countered the sharingan is unkown, but his clan was from a time where they constantly fought the Uchiha, so I`m sure he knew about the sharingan and its weaknesses.

This might be a stupid thread but it's an interesting question. For being an invincible immortal, Madara sure gets his ass handed to him a lot (1st and later 4th - though we can assume that Madara didn't fight himself the last time but only summoned the Kyuubi, assuming that part of the story is true, which I´m sure it is).

Its still a question best suited for the Q/A thread.

Maybe rephrase to: No versus period! But yea, nothing involving fictional battles between characters.

^This is not a versus thread, since the OP is not asking who would win; he's asking for details regarding the events of a battle that did happen.

I do not think this should go in the Q&A thread, since there's not a definite answer to this question. Most of what we can do, at the moment, is to speculate.

Well, it isnt like a ninja with the sharingan is immortal, people think too highly of the sharingan. Even simple taj-jutsu could beat it. Talking about when Sasuke fought Rock Lee. ¨Yes, his sharigan was at an early stage, but you get the point.

Simply put, the 1st was a better fighter, better strategic, and found ways to manoeuvre
through Madaras techniques. But thats just how I pictured it.

I think the scroll that the first Hokage carried around had all the powerful jutsus contained inside to counter the MS, I think it is the same one that Naruto stole at the beginning. Naruto probably is going to take a another look in that scroll to get some kick ass jutsus.
