Thread: Naruto Chapter 402

This was another chapter that was just way too short on original content, basically only a quarter of it was even necessary. It would have at least been nice to see more original flashbacks. I thought the ending scene was nice and I actually like Sasuke's new Mangekyou, it is another huge overpower for him but since he got Itach's Mangekyou it was pretty obvious that this was coming. I still have a lot of questions though, I am still wondering what Itachi was going to tell Naruto and what Madara did with his body. The Manga rarely, if ever, includes those sort of details without a purpose.

I still can't see Sasuke siding with Madara for long, while it may be true that Konoha is responsible for the massacre of the clan, Madara himself is equally responsible. Nothing he has done really seems to merit Sasuke's loyalty, although, I can understand why Sasuke would want to ally himself with Madara temporarily. At the moment Sasuke would have nothing to gain by fighting Madara, besides death, also, he needs Madara if he wants to get revenge on Konoha.

I am sure that Kisame is still alive but I question what he will do from now on. Also, what will become of Akatsuki, will Sasuke's new team join up with them or will they operate separately? Hopefully the next few chapters will offer some answers and do so in the form of fuller chapters. Seeing ten shots of Sasuke in the dark at different angles coupled by familiar flashbacks is becoming irritating. The amount of original dialog in this chapter was barely enough to fill a page.

Hmm. Sasugay has stars in his eyes. His eyes are sparkling... zzpaaarkliiing(said in a stereotypical gay manner)
AND he's out to destroy the village which his brother gave his whole life to protect, going as far as to kill his entire clan to keep the government structure intact.
GJ Sasuke. GL HF omgwtfbbq is all i'd have to say.
Going from being really interesting, with a new twist to the whole naruto history(senju vs madara explained further), it goes back to its predictable path of naruto vs sasuke. And since Sasuke already had strong enough eyes to push back Kyuubi when naruto and sasuke first met after being 2.5 years older, he now has eyes who can control it, at the very least.

Smells like Naruto will loose the Kyuubi, then get a chakra powerup, then blow up the whole world with a neutron-bomb-rasengan.

if madara story is true i really hope sasuke kills everyone in the village. not just danzo and the advicers. because everyone in the senju clan deserves to be punish for what they did to the uchiha clan. we dont know who are the members of the senju clan in the village so he needs to kill every last one of them.

I can't help but feel disappointed at this. He could have matured Sasuke's character by giving him some self realization and forethought but instead he's exactly the same as his first ever appearance while everyone else has grown up. Not taking Itachi's feelings into account is simply unbelievable rationale. Also Akatsuki are resigned to the side lines as this will come to the fore, which basically cheapens everything none Sasuke related that has happened up till now.

God I hate Sasuke.

up till now all mangekyo sharingan were sort of shuriken-shaped and all of them had 3 blades (sorta)
when we first saw madaras EMS it looked like two ms overlapped making a 6 bladed shuriken (thats when we assumed it was just a merge)

but now we have something new... and it certainly doesn't look like a normal mangekyo sharingan, because of its 6 blades
(the only 6 bladed sharingan we've seen is the permanent mangekyo)
so let's assume it's an EMS for now... what else doesn't fit the MS we've seen so far?
right! it's inverted... its blades are red, not black... it sure is totally different from any other sharingan
so.. anyone else reminded of izanami, izanagi?


to clear things up... i don't WANT it to be the ems.... thats way overdoing it... BUT the only six-wheeled/bladed MS we've seen was actually the EMS.... thats a fact
and it's not wrong because we have an unknown factor (if it really is the EMS), gaysukes MS, plus the reason why it's inverted

So Itachi sacrificed everything to protect the village and for what? So his little brother can destroy it all. Ironic.

Hmm Saucegay now might now have EMS! Still to be seen though..

Nice chapter, I always enjoy flashbacks. Though its weird that Kisame wasnt anywhere to be found..

I think that sometime we'll have a similer scenario like with Orochimaru. When Sasukes has gained as much as he can from Madara, he'll kill him.

Im also pretty sure Kisame is alive, but the fact that we didnt see them fight can only leave us speculating..

But as for the Akatsuki thing, I still think they will operate seperately. Sasuke formed an entire new team now, so doubt that he wants to be excepted into the Akatsuki.

i hope the next chapter will be more interesting...
