Nothing much was mentioned aside from what we already knew (well, we did see ties of past chapters with the real events); also, Kishimoto didn't mention Shisui. Perhaps he found out Itachi was a double agent?

Well, the clan already suspected Itachi's betrayal since he started to act stranger and was less attached to the clan than before by the time Shisui's murder rolled around.

Killing Shisui wouldn't solve the problem of the impending suspicion that would be caused by Shisui's revelation to the clan versus his murder. The only way that could make sense is if Shisui found out some important information pertaining to Itachi's job as a double agent that could have ruined his plan.

Well, that's all I could think of, since Shisui wasn't even mentioned.

Anyways, I don't know, I love how the story is going right now, didn't think Naruto would have this kind of potential anymore.. But something about Madara.. It's doesn't seem right for him to spill his guts out like this.

Unless he didnt spill his guts at all. His "truth" still stands to be proven true. Plus, telling those things to sasuke only means he has motives that include sasuke.

hope it doesn't take sasuke 3 chapters to realize Madara is telling the truth. It always tends to slow down the story.

Actually, if this is the truth it Madara could only gain from telling Sauske this. As he has alot of hate in him, and the other small emotions that he still caries are mostly still found along his love for the family he had, and his wish for revenge.
Madara, wham, give's him the real target for that. Which is his old village, not his brother. Something Madara can't help but take advantage of, as with Itachi's help he got revenge on his clan, and now with the brother Itachi spared he has his tool and help to get revenge on the rest of Konoha.

I dont think it will be long..

Madara have allready given Sasuke a reason to join forces against Konoha, Sasuke only needs a few more pushes before he goes over the edge, and realise that the village elders, were the ones responsible for the eradication, of the Uchiha clan.

I agree, Since Shisui was Itachi's best friend, he was probably also his confident. Maybe Itachi slipped up, broke down, and told Shisui what the village intensions were, and his own.

Offcause, Shisui was loyal to the clan and its plans, so Itachi had to do the nessasary to protect his mission, and killed Shisui. Making it look like a suicide.

But I doubt we ever are goin to hear about Shisui again. But I hope Kishi will make some kinds of reference to him, clearing it out why he was killed. Cuz, that BS about killing you're best frinds for MS doesnt add up now..

well, good chapter, just like the past few weeks.

i think sasuke's gonna crack soon. you know, it might be interesting if he just goes insane later on. balance the power a little. and was madara wearing an ANBU mask in the chapter? did he infiltrate ANBU or Root or something?

No Madara did not wear a Anbu mask, normally Anbu masks look like animals.
Itachi already in war at the age of 4? Is not that a little bit too young.

Are those lines on Sasuke face at the end of the chapter suppose to be tears?
