This is stupid. Fuck the snake. Zetsu said in plain english that the sword Itachi hit Orochimaru with puts you in a permanent genjutsu. NO DEATH.

What was this snake anyway? Oro was put in a genjutsu, he couldn't have controlled the snake - unless it was some sort of a fail-safe mechanism. Or something.
