Thread: Naruto Elemental Logic?

Uhm, spoiler if you haven't read it I guess.

In one of the chapters, I think it was 362 or something, Sasuke explains that his chidori passes through Deidara's bombs because they're Earth. Since when was Lighting > Earth?

Haven't Kishimoto played pokemon?.. I was wondering what was the logic behind that was. Or if someone can point me in the direction of the chapter when they explained elements.

i don't think hes saying rock. earth as in soil.. dunno, probably since earth has minerals makes lightning travel through it better? What i want to know is if something like a wind sword can it cut through a fireball? That is if the sword made of wind has more chakra than the fireball

Wasn't there an explanation before on the elemental weaknesses? Like water beats fire and fire beats wind and wind beats earth or something?

^Yes, Kakashi mentioned it before Naruto's wind training started. That's ch 315.

Creating lightning with bare hands, and using that lighting to "shock" someone else, while not getting electrocuted doesn't make much sense to me to begin with!

It makes a hell of a lot more sense than cutting something with the wind by doing nothing more than swinging a fan. Or getting hit by a fireball and just being pushed back. Or being electrocuted internally by a Chidori but not showing any adverse effects. Or the fact that Naruto's Needle Grenade is the most powerful and deadly technique ever shown in this story next to Kakashi's eye-space-destruction ability.

I remembered something like ten minutes ago...Ahem...

SWEET BUMBLING STOOGES OF BOMBSQUADS! Sasuke disarmed explosive puddy by using electricty! That makes about as much sense as Sasuke destroying a Tornado by blowing fire at it.
