I hope I am not the only one.
Sadly doing that with the recent Naruto episodes means your skipping the entire episode

you shouldn't be watching them on youtube or veoh regardless, depending on the subbing group =/

Dattebayo does a huge chunk of the naruto and bleach fansubbing, something like a million people download from it, and they do it in different languages an everything. i'd hate to see them stop.

Well in all honesty to each his own, but you really have no right to say that youve "watched" a series if that's the way you go about doing it. For weekly animes like naruto i definitely watch every intro every episode because thats just how i get down. But as far as skipping past all the "slow parts, talking, and everything else" i personally see no logical thinking behind these actions. Theres no possible way that you can see the full picture if you skip the details, arent those things the balancing aspects of the manga/anime? Without those conversations and other events taking place you would never even get into the fighting in the first place. So during the sasuke/naruto fight at the end of season 1 did the people that watch anime like this just skip past the part where the relationship between sasuke and itachi was shown, what about the part where naruto was explaining how sasuke was like a brother to him?

In all honesty i think that if youre going to watch anime like that then you might as well just leave it alone, because in my eyes that's disrespectful to the mangaka (for the series that are faithful to the manga, in all honesty i dont watch anime's that arent). This person has spent years of their life comprising this epic tale and you dont even take the time to take in little details that really glue it together after watching fansubs that arent even really legal its not exactly the best way to say "thank you, i appreciate the time and effort youve put into this". Once again just my immediate thoughts on the subject.

How 'bout saving minutes of wasted time of people staring with no dialogue?

However, since the chapters for these episodes came out so much earlier than the episodes, and since most of the viewers of these episodes have read the manga (which is canon and the only thing that can bring balance; animes only provide opportunities to distort events/facts), we don't miss anything by listening to a poorly produced dialogue that we're already familiar with and imagined better anyways.

I think you meant series one, because the Sasuke/Naruto fights occurred in seasons 5 and 6. Anyways, the pace of the 1st series was much faster and excellently produced; however, the current series is a piece of crap that stretches a single chapter's worth of material (which usually takes 3-10 min to read) into a 25 minute block.

If the Sasuke/Naruto fight was produced in the same way shippuden is currently, I'm sure very few people would have watched it.

Manga = / = Anime. Kishimoto doesn't have much control over how the anime is produced, if you haven't noticed. Do you think he was happy when the anime production team aired 80 episodes of filler in the original anime? Do you think he is happy with the drop in quality between the old and new anime?

The point is, animes (as a general rule) do not reflect the care a mangaka has put into a series, and only correspond with the manga rarely (how many times have we seen a faux 'ending' in an anime of a series that continued on in manga?).

I don't think Kishimoto is at all appreciative of a community of foreign leechers stealing his work (and derivatives of it), translating it, and reposting it in a cleaned and edited online version for the world to view (I'm referring to the scanlated chaps and eps here). You expect a small gesture like wasting another 8 minutes watching people stare at each other and prolong dialogue in an anime very indirectly linked to Kishi himself to actually mean something? Seriously, stop being so hypocritical.

Very well said. Thank you. Its exactly how I feel about the anime of naruto and bleach. Most people who watched the anime has read the manga and really when watching they compare unconsciously. The new shippuden 46 took me about a few minutes to watch without losing much detail at all. In those few minutes that really worth anything was: Sai arrived and saw Sasuke, Sai lost his book and Sakura had it, the other boy in Sai's book was thought to be his brother, Naruto found out he was the one who hurt Sakura. Everything else was totally irrelavent. Who cares Kabuto needed another body and it drives him crazy if those bodies weren't arranged in order of age, who cares if his knives will rust if not immediately washed. Why show me what happen on the last episode in the beginning? If I wanted to know what happen last episode I would go watch it, I don't need this episode to go over what really mattered in a 2 minute clip and it took the anime 25 minute to tell.

Look at how long the Garra fight with Deiderra took. The only thing that is good about the shuppden series so far is the Sasori part.

I am really tired of watching an anime in every single important fight, it start of with eye contact, flash back that have been shown in the past numerous times, 2 minutes of fighting, more eye contact, more self dialoug, more eye contact and waiting for the foe who got his ass kicked to get back up really slowly, more slow walking and a few more talks. etc. Is it so hard to demand some quality anime? I watched Hunter X hunter all of the series which includes all ova with intro and ending a few times and fund it much more enjoyable then go through naruto or bleach.

If you want to support naruto by watching the whole thing, watch it on youtube so you can't really be tempted to skip those worthless parts in the series.

When I watch, I skip to the part where the girl gets naked, and then the action packed part begins. Oh wait... wrong forum >_<

Anyway, when I see something that I've already seen before, I don't skip. I fast forward, keeping an eye for possible additional details along the way. That way, I really won't miss the really important ones, if there are any...
