Thread: Section Feedback 2007

So, let's give this a whirl.

In light of it being January (and because I have wanted to do this for some time), I'm inviting your feedback on the section over the last year. Or longer, if you care to give it.

Please feel free to post amusing things that happened, things that went well, things that went badly, and so on. Anything at all to do with the section and its members. =)

Is there anything that the moderation could do better here?* What are we doing right?

Do you enjoy the current structure of the section? Are all the stickeys relevant, are things easy to find? Does the way we do chapter and episode discussion work for you? Are the rules up-to-date? Is there anything you'd like to see happen here this year, or further down the line? What can we do to keep improving the section?

*Note: Please try to keep any extremely specific and narrow concerns limited to me, at the moment. Tet and Jyuu haven't invited personal feedback just yet, and I would like their endorsement before I inadvertantly encourage anyone to start harping on them. I'm sure you can phrase your suggestions in a constructive and general way for now, without mentioning names, if you have any. ~__^

For the love of mike.... perma IP ban the next person that even mentions Dragon Ball Z. Thats my biggest complaint about this forum. Second biggest is the number of repeat threads, but thats nothing compared to the unbridled rage I feel when someone compares this manga to Harry fucking Potter. Makes me want to murder someone... with pineapples and dildos.

Maybe some sort of Random Theory thread, Alot of people post weird theories that have no substantiating evidence to back it up, meaning one or two lines that explain the theory =/ Which also adds to the massive spam in this section. that way we can limit the spam threads.

Point of the thread is is you suddenly felt the urge to post a theory on top of your head, without wasting a thread on it...
Only problem would get people to post in that thread, they probably feel their theory is worth an entire thread, And it would be a bit of a puzzle when there more then 1 theory discussion in the thread.

Also sticky the Official Tobi theory thread could be a good idea.

Edit: But my Fav moment in this section was the "Will you have sex with your clone" thread. Omg, The things people said in that thread. THAT was good spam..

...this thread got me bored already. damn short attention span.....

I second this idea for a generic theory thread. We only saw like 3 theories over the entire year, but I remember 1 just was crappy and turned out into an epic flame-out between Steal and fayte, another just got horribly trashed (I think it was terasiel's or Talamare's), and the third was just ignored due to stupidity.

That was my thread (I believe Kaom lifted it from the Q&A thread for debate) and it was horribly corrupted in ways I hoped it never would.

Another suggestion. Maybe make a stickied thread of common misconceptions or confusing moments to address issues like the 3 coffins, etc that people often make faulty assumptions off of and lead to pages of repeated clarifications.

Oh, and I wish threads like http://www.stoptazmo.com/showthread.php?t=26809 were just outright deleted. So stupid and impertinent. Good effort, but it doesn't lead anywhere, even for comic purposes. That last judgment might be a little too harsh. Can't tell.

I think we need a wall of shame. Like when someone creates a thread about the Fourth being...Tobi or something equally stupid.

i completely agree. that thread was sick and disturbing but never the less hilerious

The clone thread would've had great discussions if people took it more seriously rather than joke too much.

But with SD point, I kinda disagree, because Naruto is a shounen, and its bound to be compared with other shounens too.. but there is a limit to it.

Urameshi said a good thing, but instead of making into a topic, just make it part of the QnA.
And keep updating the QnA with the most asked questions as the posts pile up.


Lastly and definately not least.. there isn't such a thing as too many Hinata threads~
