Onemanga.com put out the RAW as well. Well now... Presuming that it's not a fake, and Itachi doesn't pull one heck of a trick out of his hat, how come I get the feeling Kishi decided to get rid of a lot of characters in a hurry?

Alot of people are bound to die so the other characters can develop, in this case.
Jiraiya -> Naruto
Itachi -> Sasuke

Whoa... that made me think of the Omen for a second, when the maid hanged herself off the mansion roof for that kid... "Damian This Is For You!!" man that was funny.
