Thread: Sharingan's abilities

It would be a pleasant to have a list of Sharingan's abilities.
I wish I could give a start up list but I'm not native English so I don't know the name in English.

Could any one add up the list here?

This seems more Q/A but since its so character specific why not^^

Sees the color of chakra
Sees movement before it happens
Genjutsu
Immune to Genjutsu
Ninjutsu copycat ability

thats as far as i have for normal sharingan

The Sharingans copying ability enable the user to memorize/copy any other techniques by watching the movement, or jutsu, then mimic with perfect timing.
It can memorize Taj-jutsu, Gen-Jutsu, And Nin-jutsu. It like Vemynal said, can see chakra colours and can somwhow, invade the mind of individuals. (like Sasuke did with Naruto)
It can also predict the movement of objetcs or persons in battle. This allows the Sharingan user to mimic every movement that their opponent could make, even before they move, making it appear as if the user can read the future. (like Kakshi did with Zabusa)
A person that got a three tomoe Sharingan eye can track even the fatest opponent, even if the user can't move at the same speed. The eye records it, but the users can have difficulty with dealing with the info.

But Sharingan copying techniques also have some limits, since it cannot copy other kekkei genkai aka. advance bloodline, because the user doesn't possess the same genetic trait or bloodline.

The power of the sharingan is offcause depended on the number of tomoes in the eye.

Sharingans other abilities are:
Utakata, Genjutsu cast by finger used by Itachi Uchiha
Amaterasu, Flame that burn for seven day and night used by Itachi Uchiha (Burn through everything)
Tsukuyomi, illusion technique used by Itachi Uchiha (used for torture probably)
Susanoo (Edit: Fanfic Name), used by Kakashi to teleport Daideras arm into another dimension.

Originally it never said that it can sees chakra colours or invade someone else mind.

what?? sasuke said in the fight with deidara that he can see the colour of chakra,so "originally" it has been said in the manga,what more you want?a kishi's note -From this time on sharigan can also see chakra colours-Kishimoto Masashi

-theres no prof that this is a sharingan ralated jutsu,he could learn this jutsu by his own,when we will think like that katon could be too a power of the sharingan.

Don't forget it has suggestive abilities (Kakashi vs Zabuza).

Thats not right.

That technique was never called Susanoo. It probably isnt even a original Mangekyou technique.

Susanoo as a Mangekyou technique is fanfic, since Amaterasu (sun), Tsukiyomi (moon) and Susanoo (storm) are in ancient japanese myths siblings.
There is no proof that something called Susanoo does even exist in the Naruto universe.

Thought I heard the name before some place =/ But we probably haven't seen the all of what the Sharingan can do, Even though it states in the manga the The Rinnengan is superior to the Sharigan, haven't seen anything that makes it true =/

Edit: As for it being an orgianal Mangekyou technique, Probably not since Kakashi Has a compleatly different Sharingan with a non Uchiha body.

I was pretty sure Kakashi was using a non-sharingan genjutsu coupled with the copycat abilities of his sharingan to do that.

From the discussion above. I think I can make milestone list here.

Common abilities
- Chakra's color and movement vision.
- Precognition
- Jutsu and movement mimicry

Special abilities
- Amaterasu: Black flame that Itachi use to escape from Jiraiya
- Tsukuyomi: Superior genjutsu use often by Itachi
- Susanoo(unofficial): Dimensional gate pinpoint use by Kakashi (It's really look like storm)

I think immunity to genjutsu is not sharingan's abilities. It should depend on owner's technique to use sharingan and genjutsu.
Who have any idea why those abilities were named after deities?

Since each sharingan's owner have learned different abilities. So Madara should also have exclusive powers.
I think Jiraiya said in the manga that Madara was the one who summon Kyuubi in the first place.

Do you think Sasuke have that superior sharingan(what's it name anyway) now? I think may be because there must be some other ways to unlock it.
