My bet is that Nagato is dead already and Yahiko took his place (if Jiraiya actually killed [in theory] that other guy, then it seems they can "die"). However, that's just an unrelated note.

I'd hedge my bets on Madara because...
- Madara was bossing around Yahiko-Pain--if we assume the "Pains" only follow the true Pain
- Konan appears to be in on everything, and she was also the only other person who knew Tobi's true identity
- Madara is really, really old
- If we assume the Rinnegan is a regular kekkei genkai, can't we also assume Nagato had a father or grandfather...

If the Rinnegan is just a regular Kekkei Genkai it probbaly only shows up once every few generations. It wouldn't be such a legendary technique if every generation could use it.

good point. I'll have to take that into account. But I still don't think Nagato is behind all this.
Actually maybe Madara killed Nagato and stole the Rinnegan because Nagato was too wimpy to use it right. But now I'm getting off topic.

that we know of, it turned out zetsu knew about his true identity aswell, and its a possibility itachi may know, but isnt letting on, because of the comment to sasuke about there being three people that could awaken the M.S (he weasnt referring to kakashi)

Itachi says no, knowing that Sasuke is alieve. BUT, he also says Besides. Besides like in, Besides, there is another Uchiha member. He knows that Tobi is an Uchiha. That sentence alone have let me to believe that Itaachi is in the in inner circle of of the Akatsuki, as with Zetsu, Pein, Konan, Tobi.

Funny, i reached the exact opposite conclusion from that scene, the fact that Itachi told Kisamme makes me think that he´s knows that Pain is lying to them, when he wasn´t supposed to. That and the fact that he´s been acting in a more "normal" manner (Not shouting to Sasuke that he should be a fucking psychopath) I think that he´s about to rebel against Akatuski and this meeting with Sasuke has something to do with that,

yep, i said this before, pain is madara's tool. madara will need all the kyuubi powers when he woke up.

remember the big ugly statue where they extract the previous kyuubi? madara is in that statue.

claiming the powers of 8 kyuubi, he will confront the strongest, evilest, kyuubi inhibiting the strongest shinobi at the designated time (naruto) before he can rule/destroy the world. this is the most epic/ exhilarating/ battle ever fought in narutoverse.

naruto lost big time.. but after some occurences, he will win but then he will die (this will be the saddest part of chapter in naruto.. he died before able to get married to hinata. on her laps, will he die.

naruto not only managed to protect his village, but also the world. he will be a hero the world will never forget.

but where do sasuke play his part? dunno..maybe he will get posessed by madara (inhibint his body) or he might help naruto..

there, the whole story of naruto.. i think this wrap up the story of naruto...

aiyoooo..i just made that up in 5 minutes..the story of naruto cannot be that simple.. i'm sure there's alot more details and the plots will expand in a more unpredictable ways.. go kishi, make naruto stronger..
