though if it's about naruto, then jiraiya's not gonna die.. because it said he had to take action
if he's killed by pein - it's obviously about pein and not about naruto

maybe his action was getting the key to naruto

I have just been talking to my friend about Naruto and we have come to the decision that the prophecy that frog guy was talking about was about Naruto rather than Pein. As Naruto is Jiraiya pupil and he has the kyuubi and is well bad ass when he has 4 tails and think about how bad ass he would be if he has all 9 tails.

Actually, while this idea comes to mind initially, this can't refer to Naruto because the prophecy specifically mentions finding the kid on some Myoubuki mountain or something like that and only Pain fits that criteria.

the part about mount myoubuki was clearly about jiraiya...

He was referring to Jaraiya stumbling upon the Myoubuki mountain and obtaining toad power.
Jaraiya had just finished asking if the sage's predictions were ever wrong.

adonai and everyone after- Right. I confused the actual prophecy with one of the spoiler prophecy translations.

I thought the key was referring to the 2nd part of the kyuubi chakra that was sealed completely from Naruto's body through the toad scroll.
