Thread: Masashi Kishimoto Taking Ideas from Fans

Do any of you believe that Masashi Kishimoto might have gotten some of his ideas from fan gossip?

No. Hell no. It takes away from the suspense and quality of the story when some douche in Fiji gets to decide what becomes canon. And it exudes an aura of laziness and a lack of creativity. BARELY maybe for a backstory side manga but not the original story.

thats something we'll never find out...
but its very likely that an author of such a long running series as naruto is influenced by fans in a way or another

Well, I think he has gotten ideas from the fans. For example fans have been saying Tobi was Uchiha Madara since he appeared on the scene, and as it turns out months later he is the Uchiha Madara.

that doesn't prove anything, doesn't it?^^

It does show that the fans were gossiping about Tobi being Uchiha Madara. Then months after the gossip about him started Masashi Kishimoto made him Uchiha Madara. It could have always been that way, or he could have gotten it from the fans.

That's possible to. However I seriously doubt that it was a leak. Although leaks have probably happened in the past with Naruto.

all in all that prediction wasn't that impressive..
we knew there was someone with ties to akatsuki who possessed a MS
the only two KNOWN uchiha left were madara and obito - thus leaving two theories, tobi = madara & tobi = obito (ofcourse there was the third option of tobi being neither of them or an unknown uchiha.. but this option wouldn't make a theory)
besides.. it's not like we know that he's the real madara..
i still think the cons of tobi = obito are more convincing and that madara part is just a twist to make the obvious a bit more surprising (i mean tobi being obito was kinda obvious to everyone - and many didn't like that theory because of that)


edit: rrright i forgot about shisui - i dunno about old theories of shisui being tobi.. but i think there were enough fools predicting that

Your logic makes no sense.

It's pretty obvious that Tobi was intended to be Uchiha Madara from the beginning. The entire Tobi = Madara thing was right out of the Usual Suspects (great movie btw). Super powerful guy pretends to be weak to gather info and manipulate his enemies. How else would someone like Tobi who was relatively unknown and showed no real signs of being powerful end up as a member of Akatsuki? The reason that fans said it was possible is because there was foreshadowing in the earlier story pointing to this. It would be different if the fans were saying that Rock Lee should be Madara and Kishi mucked with the storyline to make that happen.

Despite what fans think, a lot of these ideas are planned well in advance. He's not checking fake spoilers every week to see what he should do for the next issue. That would be stupid and lazy. I doubt anyone would publish him if he was waiting until a week or 2 before the issue came out to come up with story ideas.
