Red?

After recently thinking, the color red in Naruto seems to be associated with power. Why do I think this? Akatsuki cloaks have red clouds, the sharengan is red, when Naruto goes kyuubi he gets red chakra.

So what do you all think, do you think the mangaka associates being really powerful with the color red?

Also, if we want to make this thread a little more useful, what otther color similarlities have others noticed in Naruto? Things that seem to be ongoing themes?

I think red is more associated with rage than power in this case.

Maybe you can enlighten me as to why you associate it with rage. I'm just curious as to your thoughts.

But since its a created organization not something natural, like Kyubi's chakra.. I'd say they are unrelated even if the Red = Power.

well, isn't kurenai supposed to be very skilled in genjutsu, and I normally associate the eyes with genjutsu, so maybe it signifies she has powerful genjutsu...

maybe kurenai's family have something to do with the uchiha...

Yes, and I do believe Akamaru does grow pretty strong when he turns red.

Another example I hadn't thought of: When Chouji eats the red pill he gets mad skills!

red = rage due to blood due to blood rage or going berserk.
I think you're looking too far into this.

No its because of those *somewhatcalled* animes in japan.
Red power ranger always have a zord and he is always the strongest ^^.

Honestly, black is used to show strength and danger even more than red in Naruto.
