well i agree with the alcoholic thing, you know why his skin is that color? it's because he drank to much beer and got liver disease (or he has jaundice?)

Did you know that in japanese mythology there was a guy called Yashagorō, he was friends with a guy called Jiraiya. Yashagorō then learnt serpant magic and changed his name to orochimaru. Orochimaru attacked Jiraiya and his wife Tsunade and defeated them. They were saved by one of Jiraiya's followers though.

Also Orochi was also the name of a 8 headed/ 8 tailed demon.

So saying that Oro is related to Volimort (however you spell it) is not really correct. Remember Kishi is japanese, so he is going to look at his life style first, as that is where it is mainly selling.

and for the lastthing you mentioned. that's not entirely right for mangakas. there are a lot of things from different religions, myths etc mixed up.

Everything I wrote about the "real" Oro is meant to be true. It is a myth, like how the sun and moon were created and stuff.

I would just like to point out to the creator of this thread that snakes are not amphibians, they're reptiles...cuz I'm a smart ass, Amphibians are the little critters that are born in water and they have the capability to live on land and water as well, like Jiraiya-sama's toads/frogs. Newts and salamanders are also amphibians.
