Thread: How did Kakashi obtain the MS sharingan?

He got it by deciphering the hidden meaning behind Come Come Paradise. Jiraiya passed down some information on how to obtain Mangekyou without killing someone important...

Those... weird laughs he makes when reading Jiraiya's novel is proof that he has learned something new and that he's excited about it. The information on obtaining AMS (let's call it Another Mangekyou Sharingan or AMS) is safely hidden in some adult magazine so as not to proliferate the contents.

but iv always had this theory... since kakashi does not have the same blood flowing through him as itachi's, the "uchiha blood", he has a modified or 'alternative' as u say MS, therefore i believe that the method that kakashi takes to obtain the MS is different......................................... .....


or if tobi = obito and he is leader of the akatsuki, and has somehow managed to obtain ms, then it would b possible for kakashi to have ms having obtained the other half of tobi's sharingan.

Grats, thats indeed a nice theory.

Isn't that a bit extreme? That would mean the eyes are telepathically linked. It would be hilarious if it was illustrated like Kakashi was pissed at someone for interrupting his reading, and at the precise moment Tobito got MS, and thus Kakashi, said person was warped out of existence.

Wait, wait, wait--that isn't funny. That's the plot of "Idle Hands" with eyes swapped for the evil hand.

Its a joke... obviously...

I believe however, that Obito's eyes had the potential to achieve MS. That's why Kakashi got MS... of course by a little unknown effort.

Hmm I was thinking about it too and i came up with...

After kakashi got his new eye from obito, he felt responsible for obito's death because as their commander/leader, he wasnt able to protect his team, like how Rin got captured by the enemy and wasnt able to prevent obito being crush by a huge rock. And he also felt guilty of what obito said to him about " Those who dont care about their companions are even worst trash" and that made him think about his dad of who he used to look up too, as a child.

Since Kakashi said all his friends are dead, i think he means Obito and Rin or who ever else he was with. So after Rin and others died, he felt even more responsible for their death because in the end he wasnt able to protect anyone but himself. And also Kakashi was highly praise as shinobi and that probably made him think "Since im so great why cant i save my friends".

So thats my theory about kakashi obtaining the MS sharingen, he felt responsible for getting his friends killed because of what he did wrong and couldnt do, since he was the leader and made rash decisions that end up killing his friends....phew that was a long post.. thanks for listening

thats the best theory I have heard yet

This also is my favorite theory....it just seems to make the most sense.....and it sort of attatches more meaning to the 'killing a friend requirement.' If the MS is powered by some sort of emotional revelation sparked by responsibility for the death of a friend, that would be way better than other possibilities. It also might explain the so-called difference between Itachi's eyes and Kaka's. Maybe Kakashi sort of has the Light-side version, and Itachi has the Dark-side. It would really be holding to one of the main story themes about the difference between gaining power to protect your friends, and sacrificing friends to gain power.

So, that means that if Sasuke wants his own MS, he'll have to see Naruto die (or something make him think he's dead).
Well, at least one year till we see that...

Seriously though he dosen't kill anyone but the rules are bent and his friend (Obito aka rumoured Al and dead uchiha and Tobi of Akatsuki (supposedly)) gave him the eye and Kakashi had the ability to use MS the whole time but never noticed it untill now.
