Thread: Is Itachi responsible for killing his Clan.

Now I'm not sold on the Madara is Tobi or Tobi is Obito yet partially b\c of the translation which really doesn't specify whether he is saying he has inherited the power of Madara or if he is Madara himself. That said since the last sharingan has finally been found it makes me wonder if Itachi was being controlled by Tobi's genjutsu while he slaughtered his clan. Itachi's plan to test his own limits through Sasuke could actually be Tobi's intention to see whether Itachi or Sasuke would eventually become the most skilled Uchiha. I don't have the specific chapters but seeing as how Itachi(or atleast I think it was Itachi) knew of a another sharingan besides his and Sasuke's and the fact that every time someone mentions the fact that Itachi killed his clan he never really responds most recently in the last chapter when Kisame mentions the fact that he is the last one left I always found it odd that he never responds even though of his bland personality. Tobi may have eventually revealed himself to Itachi and recruited him. It is also possible that Tobi didn't use genjutsu and recruited Itachi willingly. Of course I'm not sold on this either I just find it odd that Itachi could be kept so easily in the dark.

Considering we know very little about Tobi and even less about his Sharingan, this is just pure speculation. Itachi has been a mystery since his character was introduced into this manga and Tobi has been one too. Just laying out the possibilities reveals nothing about what Kishi is going to do. If you have a theory or an idea, get some evidence for it.

Or better yet, don't tell us. Random theories are very annoying.

I'm also skeptical about Itachi killing his entire clan and his "cold-hearted" personality. I find it odd that Itachi tries to reason with his enemies before he fights most of the time. Unfortunately, I have to wait longer for Kish to reveal more about Itachi's character, due to the lack of proof I have.

Most of you guys are brutal! Geez, is this not a place to speak your mind? Not to long ago i recall th whole forun going mental with the yondame is the AL and how he is naruto's father. Topic is dead ever since chapter 363. The point is, someone comes out with a theory, speculation like 100% of you all yet he gets smashed and yelled at, that its another random theory, only speculation when all the rest of the theories are just the same. Kishi has proven wrong to 99% of this forum and its speculation about how the story will develop and who is really who in this manga.

I dont know the guy who started this thread but i do find it offending that he gets flamed for stuff that you all do.
