Yeah if the spoiler pictures of Tobi are real I don't think Itachi knew about him. I really don't understand how all of the Uchihas could have been on their compound aside from one the day Itachi killed them.

As the spoiler pics seem to be similar in style and consistance to the manga I'm counting them as real. But I think he(Tobi) may have ben part of why Itachi went on the killing spree.
