Thread: Tobi is not dead

At least I hope not.

and it thought you had an idea how he'd escape that. anyway i hope he lives too and sasuke loses an arm or a leg or something, as long as he's harmed it's fine with me.

I have a theory how he survived the explosion.

Anyways, yeah, Pain should be able to tell whether he is actually dead from the ring, but I've always wondered how that worked for someone like Sasori anyways, hopefully it's a mistake. Apparently his specially is running away really fast...

it would be really lame if he died just like that, without at least fighting, so yeah hope he lives, gives some hurt to sasgay and then dies.

I think he's speciality might be speed jutsu.

Kisame said that Tobi was good at running away and it must have been a big jutsu if he could not get away in time.

Well Tobi has shown that he is quick at digging through the ground and running away. I think theres a good chance he used a strong dotton jutsu to dig far enough underground to protect himself or run away. Then there's the possibility he piggybacked off of Sasuke and somehow managed to escape in Manda (very unlikely) and the possibility of him using some unseen technique to save himself.

^ I'm still not sure whether Pain believes that he's dead because of the report from Zetsu or because of whatever contact he maintains with the ring, but he did seem very sure about it, I guess the ring could have come off somehow or he's just basing it off of Zetsu's report.

they where wrong about sasuke, so they're probably wrong about tobi too

Tobi seems to me like some guy with amazing power but so dumb he himself doesn't know how strong he is, like when he was burrowing through the ground to plant the mines he just pops up gives a salute and says "I planted the mines sir!" That coupled with the fact he's never serious I wouldn't be suprised if he just stood there during the explosion and after it subsided said "wow that was pretty" and just walked away.
