Thread: Tobi

There are a lot of theories around who Tobi is, so what's one more going to do? I can't help but notice the similarities in Tobi and Sai's personalities. Sai changed due to Naruto's influence, but each of them has/had a way of saying things that go beyond the social atmosphere. Could Tobi be Sai's brother? The two characters were introduced about the same time.

its like a combination of the suigetsu=sai's bro theory + the Tobi is someone we've seen before theory.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say *no* since Sai's brother had light colored hair and Tobi has black

That's right. There's no hair dye in Naruto world! Naruot is a natural blonde, Sakura is a natural pink head, and Gaara is natural red head, and Jiraiya is born without hair color pigment cells.

If a Kishi used hair dye as a plot device for a character, like for the unknown member who we assume is female, it would be very annoying.

How realistic are you assuming Naruto to be with things like immortality. People can have any colour hair in mangas.

Anyways on the Tobi subject, I don't think he's suigetsu's brother because I don't think it would really work out. I think Tobi is a more mysterious and major character, I don't think being Suigetsu's brother would fit that part.

The only thing that is odd about Tobi in comparison to the other members is he has no head protector at all. I think he is the only one shown not to have one but I could be wrong.

What I question is whether he is an S rank criminal or not. All members are supposed to be but so many seem unknown, so it seems foolish that we have not heard more about them. It shouldn't be as much random encounters as one person being all like that "<insert here> he is from <insert here> reports say he favors <insert element jutsu here>" So far it mostly has been guess work which really pisses me off.

I mean seriously we have a group of infamous people no one knows anything about that makes no sense at all.

We don't really know that, it could be placed somewhere not readily visible, besides, we haven't seen whether the leader or blue hair wears one.

True because like Tobi's head protector those two can't be seen. Though they could be for dramatic effect not that Kishi is hiding that they are seen before. I am just saying that is the only thing odd about him, and what allows people come up with the Konohana connections.

Different hair colour is used in anime's to distinguish one character from another, if characters can change hair color in an anime/manga then that would ruin the whole purpose

We haven't really seen him fight for real yet. Deidara's been doing the majority of all the fighting. I believe once we see a signature move of his, we'll be able to find out more about. Say for instance, he's an Uchiha, he can use the sharingan. It's just a thought though...since we can't say much about his looks. And how do we not know there's hair dye in the Naruto world. they never said that.
