Akatsuki, tailed beasts, rings

remember the eyes of akatsukis sealing statue?
they kinda piss me off
cuz it seems the tailed beasts (aka bijû) have their corresponding places among those...
so far we know where the ichibi, nibi, sanbi and yonbi are sealed:

[X] - unknown bijû (sealed)
[0] - unknown bijû

since everything is going according to their plan capturing the bijû up to the eight-tails to ensure the balance and since we already know that this is important because the kyuubi is the strongest bijû - it's safe to assume that kyuubi has its place right in the middle

well.. i kind of thought this through and among all possibilities only a few did actually make sense (in a way..)
it's the balance-thing kisame mentioned... i thought to allocate the bijû equally among both sides
in short the seven-tails und the eight-tails go to the left and the five- and six-tails to the right; both sides now have the sum 18
e.g.:

_______[9]
[2]_[8]____[3]_[4]

unfortunately we don't have much info on the other bijû..
except maybe a clue on the eight-tails
most of you probably know already.. to sum it up:
there's a mystical beasts in the japanese mythology named Yamata-no-Orochi (en: Eight-Forked Serpent; it was said to have eight heads and eight tail) which was slayed by Susa-no-o, revealing the legendary sword Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi in the middle tail..
sasukes sword is called kusangi... well.. call me crazy but i think it might be possible (the chances are low.. of course) sasuke got that sword from orochimaru who on the other hand was a member of an organization collecting the nine bijû (world domination tour)
which is maybe a clue that the eight-tails was already sealed

of course it's just a theory (an old one at that) but it matched my balance
so the only clue on the eight-tails is that it was slayed since sasuke has the kusanagi which indicates that it's already sealed inside the statue

what are the gains of that? well my guess on the last bijû is that it has to be the five- or six-tails

too bad i don't know any mystical beasts with 5 or 6 tails^^

didn't give me a clear answer either...

on other forums people wrote about Raijū as the six-tailed beast which would be cool... but dunno.. never heard of Raijū having six tails....

Lord of the Rings:
have yet to come to a conclusion regarding akatsukis rings.. at first i thought those rings gotta correspond to the bijû in a way - maybe they are necessary to the sealing part.. since you've got to have a ring 2 be a member
then again.. why did akatsuki which seems to be far more powerful than orochimaru let him keep his ring? it seems they don't need it..
if each ring was to correspond a bijû or was needed to seal the corresponding bijû then there are two options:
- each ring (except for ALs ring since this one is saying "Zero") corresponds a bijû and is NEEDED to seal it... orochimaru was allowed to keep his since they already sealed the corresponding bijû (orochi)
- the rings are only needed to be able to seal the bijû nothing more

the first option would be okay i think
the second one is the one i don't like or accept.. xD
the rings are all unique and have words engraved (which are either japanese gods or chinese constellations).. they are also worn on the finger the members have their place on the statue
well i looked into each of the symbols.. and kinda tried to compare it with the individual targets as its quite clear that itachis target is the nine-tails

Itachi - right ring finger - Vermillion Bird <--> Nine-tailed Demon Fox
Kisame - left ring finger - Sagittarius <--> Four Tails ???
Deidara - right index finger - Azure Dragon <--> Shukaku or Three-Tails ???
Tobi/Sasori - left thumb - Virgin <--> Shukaku or Three-Tails ???

it's quite difficult to get a clear answer from those...
e.g. Virgin or Virgo has 3 bright stars.. well tobi did engage the 3tails.. and in the sasori/deidara vs gaara part sasori almost did nothing
which would mean Tobi/Sasoris target is the sanbi and deidaras shukaku
but here comes the real problem.. the rings of deidara, itachi, zetsu und the bluehair.. they're called the four symbols of the chinese constellations and all of them have 7 stars

and of course: kisames ring - Sagittarius has 7 bright stars.. which doesn't really help either


i don't think kishimoto just took random symbols.. there IS probably a reason behind this and well i have also fun researching a bit

well atleast i'm pretty sure now that it's either the sixtails or the fivetails^^

btw if you try to balance out each side in the only way possible (6+3=5+4 and 1+8=2+7) you get the five-tails

Oro took his severed hand and ran..I think it was a big surprice Akatsuki to find out that Oro. attacked Itachi and thus left the group. They have probaly been seaching for him, maybe thats why sasori planted that spy (kabuto) in the first place, so that they could get their ring back..
But I agree on that the rings without doubt ahve something to do with the sealing...but so far its no problem for them to seal the beasts..

one problem. they only have (presumably) 1-6. Not all but the 9 tails.

I haven't checked in recent memory but seven would seem about right.

well of course i am... every time they sealed a bijû an eye opened
they now have 7 bijû and this is out of the question^^

Well we went thru this long time ago... to be exact then they captured Gaara, so we assumed they already captured bijus, on the time skip.

But first I'll say you are wrong on the positions..

Before gaara was sealed the statue had two open eyes

Then I've looked over when they sealed the 2nd, and 3rd you couldn't see the eyes..
They captured the 1,2,3,4.. plus two they already had, minus naruto. leaving only 2 more free..


Since we also only know the position on the 1st its hard to guess what eye is what.. AL said that the nine needed to be sealed last to not crumble his statue, so we can make them in a pattern to balance the power

Or really any variation you can think of considering

Until we see more of the statue, we can't make any concrete solution..

From the conversation, they sealed one biju WITH Orochimaru, they complained about it when sealed gaara.

That lead me to belive that they captured one jinchuuriki and one biju.
The biju was easy to seal, but they ran into problems sealing the Jinchuuriki. (with orochimaru) Thats why they didn't capture naruto.. and took about 3 years for them to figure out to extract correctly the biju.. and orochimaru left..
