well, hinata not knowing what they're talking about is one thing. one other possibility would be kishi simply forgot and might add a scene where hinata wonders what the convo was about.

I'm sure something will be said, but at the moment, they are dealing with Kabutomaru's insanity. And I think they didn't ask yet because they wanted to know everything he was talking about.

I agree. Ninja's are supposed to be like soldiers. You accept orders and follow them. And, to be honest, even when Kakashi disclosed that Naruto was a Jinchurriki, could you really expect Team 8 to pipe up and ask?

Hinata: Too shy to even say Hi to Naruto most of the time but you expect her to ask Kakashi a question about a WORD in the middle of a briefing?
Kiba: Unlike Naruto, Kiba still seems to be the same dense, wild person he was before the time jump. Why would he give a damn about one word he doesn't know? He was compared to Naruto on many occasions so, hell, there're probably a LOT of words he doesn't know.
Yamato, Sakura, and I'm sure Sai knows, he was an assasin for ROOTS so I'm sure they get told a lot more than normal Konoha nin

Maybe the time excuse isn't completely valid. Kishi COULD have made a chap or a few panels describing their reaction when Kakashi briefed them but it would be totally out of character for them.

Anyway, Shikamaru hating Naruto because he's a Jinchurriki and, very indirectly, the cause of Asuma's death is so ridiculous it's...... just damn ridiculous. Shikamaru is way too logical to hate Naruto just because he attracted some people who wanted to capture him.

Maybe something will come up later, maybe not. Maybe Kabuto has the eight tales inside of him. Maybe Itachi really is going blind. Maybe Tobi is Obito. Why bother with things that haven't come up YET or that aren't really all the important to begin with.

Actually, I did expect the chuunins not to know. All info on the bijuu was considered classified info in Konoha and Naruto's jinchuriki status was a secret that was meant to be kept from Naruto as well.
Sakura did more research on Akatsuki, Uchihas, Konoha history than anyone else in the village and didn't know what a bijuu was. We all know how strongly village secrets are protected in the ninja villages, so I find it hard to believe that the parents of Naruto's generation would willingly give their kids such heavy and incriminationg info.

I have a feeling that the 3rd's rule of nobody knowing about Naruto and the 9tails is becoming slowly unraveled. Of for no other reason than to make sure everyone is safe and on guard for random crazy people.
