..... What if it didn't happen ?
i have read theories about Madara being alive and obito and even the forth and that orochimaru might not be dead and it seems that people can't stay dead in naruto ...
So what if the whole clan slaughter is just mass mangekiou saringan or a set up or what ever and the whole freaking clan is about to reveal itself and declare their ambition for world domination or something screwed up like this ?
What would be the point of hiding themselves?
well since they were the "police" of konoha they might be unable to do something they wanted , be it illegal or a secret for some reason without drawing attention to them.(orochimaru did so and got caught )
maybe something that has to do with the secret purpose of sharingan.
So they disappeared to continue with their plans..
And few days ago I asked a question where I asked if naruto section can get any more dumb. And here it is. The #1 thread in dumb category.

.....wow..do you have idea what you just said. I'm sorry, but that does not make no sense at all. Why would the clan hide themselves for a long time and then declare war on the leaf??
1) It is NOT MY theory that obito is alive.
2)For an uchiha to activate mangekiou saringan, he has to kill his best friend which is normally unacceptable so maybe in order for the uchiha clan to evolve they had to do something that would not be done without having the rest of konoha against them, after all slaughtering your clan to see how strong you are is also meaningless not to mention insane.
3)They don't have to declare war on the leaf it is just an example
4) Xaturas sry if i insulted you cleverness but last time i checked , in naruto, ppl imprison god like deamons into babes , 12 years old kids can fight grown up ninjas and as long as you stick in your ninja way you are seemingly unable die and will become a hokage...
So yes they could have left sasuke,maybe in a sort of experiment ,

Yeah that would do, but it wouldn't be the first time someone killed a lot of people in his village and got away .. i think Zabuza did that too and he didn't have any connection to akatsuki.
I dont think Akatsuki put him up to killing his own clan. Based on what we've seen from Itachi, it probably really was just to see if he could do it.
