1-50 up to the end of the chunnin exam prelims was about ninja's with a small amount of demonic arts

now ... its about freaks, with every freakin type of special power showing up. Whats next? a ninja with the bloodline limit to shoot rainbows out of his ass? They dont even explain them anymore ... its just "they have THIS power"

in the early days, you could get kicked in the face, and youd stay down. Martial arts meant something. Kunai's were dangerous, and nowadays you throw a kunai, it gets deflected, and now you shoot lasers from your eyes.

this manga/anime has become utter crap

Welcome to shounen my friend. Each and Every shounen sooner or later turn into powers competition where the guy with more powah uber l33t c00l skill own da ground.

All shounen action or sports mangas eventually give up trying to preserve reality and start coming up with obscene strenght just to keep the story interesting...

If you can't tolerate that, I think you'll have trouble with shounen manga in general as well.

1-they was simply kids and of course they will start weak then the writer move to the next level or it will be boring for a series of 400 ch or more
2-from the start naruto was about demonic power so the enemies must be at the same levels
3- it is shounen manga
4-they don't try to preserve relaity at the begining at all but the mangaca will show the development of the real story slowly
5-there is no explanation to kage bunshin or any of the other kiddish techniques and of course later the enemies will have greater powers

Of course they could have taken the Basilisk route but then it would have been one very short manga.

i actually have no problem with DBZ ... or bleach, or one piece.

the thing is .. the universe changed in naruto.

in DBZ .. it was always the same kind of fighting.

in bleach, it was the same also

and one piece .. is just pefect


in naruto .. the universe changed.... where a shuriken was damaging to where it is absolutely nothing. The world before naruto and friends entered it was totally different. Its not about being a shonen you noobs, its about it being a terribly written story.
