Thread: Bijuu plot hole?

I know it has been said in the latest chapters that Akatsuki, of of a sudden, has to catch the bijuu in numerical order, which would obviously leave naruto for last. However, while watching the older episodes, when itachi and kisame came to konoha, they clearly stated their intentions: to capture the kyuubi. I believe by then they hadn't captured any other bijuu, seeing as ichibi was the first, so if supposedly akatsuki has to extract them from the jinchuurikis in numerical order to keep the "balance", why the hell were they planning on capturing naruto before?, unless they meant to have naruto in a dungeon for 5 years until they had all the other bijuu....which doesn't make sense at all....
The only thing that comes to mind is that all that itachi-comes-to-konoha-looking-for-naruto business was all an excuse to have the sasuke vs itachi match, and it was necessary for itachi to care more about naruto than sasuke to bring his anger out even more...

i think the more you look at the manga the more the plot holes you will see
the mangaka may be wasn't planing this numerical thing or may be they will keep him for 3 years it doesn't matter
i mean it is manga not physics don't think about it too much

sorry i didn't mean to downgrade any manga at all
i myself is a huge fan of manga and anime
but i think there is unwritten contract betw any writer and reader :

I think that at the time of itachi first meeting with naruto. Kishi had a whole diferent idea how to end this manga and how to make other events. After the time went on and went on he presented us other new things like elements and stuff like that. I wonder why didnt they teach kids about elements in school, after all school is for teaching ne? So at that time kishi didnt even plan how will the akatsuki work exactly, I dont even think that he already had all characters drawn by that time. Just give him a rest after all now editors do like 70-80% of the job for him.

They don't have to capture them in order. They just said kyuubi has to be last, or else it'll upset the balance. Even in this last chapter, they wanted to grab him, but I think they decided against it. The point is, the sooner they catch the jinchuriki, the better, else they just get stronger and harder to defeat without killing.

Dude it's not real. Your over analyzing the thing it's meant for entertanment.

konoha is supposed to be the one of the strongest villages if not the strongest, so it would be logical to get naruto first and keep him in a jail in order to surprise konoha and not have to deal with them after they know that akatsuki is hunting the jinchuuriki.

Nah, they kinda clarified it this lastest chapter. Otherwise the statue would've been made into shit.
