I'm not narutofan and I found Naruto after fight between Naruto and Sasuke uninteresting (the plot went kinda slow and in uncertain direction), but I disliked the idea that Sasuke grew super powerful, completely overwhelming Naruto even without releasing his seal and then in lame way killed Orochimaru.

And Naruto, which had some funny stuff at beginning, started to be... boring. Not fun, less exciting and I at one moment of reading I forgot that those people were supposed to be ninjas and not super sayajins.

I think Kishi is just trying to give the people more reason to worship the character they like the most by having him or her turn super strong (or stayed weak in Naruto's case). This, however, made the story illogical and disappointing.

I checked Naruto's lack of growth, Sasuke beating Oro, and Itachi beating Oro at 10. Most disappointing one is probably Naruto's lack of growth.

naruto was good at: haku arc, chounin exams (lots of epic fights here), neji vs spider dude, the dollmasters fight.

so pretty much, most of the stuff pre-timeskip. after timeskip, we've been treated to a shit-ton of garbage: the stupid chase-sasuke-down arc, sasuke-clone joining naruto's team, hidan getting pwnd so easily, kakuzu being finished by naruto's stupid new jutsu, etc, etc.

Nah Gantz has the coke bitches and money in the manga. So it makes up for any problems.
