Thread: Sakura's Strength

I have one question about Sakura that's been buggin' me.

If any of my info is inaccurate, please correct me.

Here goes.

Sakura's new abilities, as far as we know, is her healing jutsus and her super strength. My question is what exactly gives her the super strength?

One answer could be simply that she's focusing her chakra on her fist, but there's two contradictary implication that arise from this.

One, if it's focusing chakra on her fist, that would mean anyone could have super strength.

Two, it makes sense that shinobis focus their chakra to make themsevles stronger since they control chakra on their foot to perform super jumps and quick movements.

If the answer is not number one, then two would not apply either, but theory one does apply as it has been shown to.

Another answer could be that she's storing chakra in her forehead or somewhere like Tsunade, but that seal only gives one SUDDEN boost in power and doesn't explain her numberous usage of her strength.

It's not a ninjutsu since she doesn't seem to do any sort of anything before she attacks.

She certainly wasn't born with the super strength, as far as we know.

Could it be the gloves? Lol.

My thoughts are that since sakura already had excellent chakra control to begin with and she is able to place a vast amount into her fist which I think may be hard for other shinobi to do in the level she is doing. I mean she learned to climb trees almost instantly while it took geniouses like sasgay and naruto a while to get to the top. She was also taught by Tsunade so she learned how to fully use that ability as well and focus her chakra into raw power. She is too young to have a large amount of chakra stored so I dont think thats it. She is using the gloves for damage control on her own fist me thinks.

The mechanism behind how the puncho works isn't exactly specificed, but I think that the powerpunch ismore of an immediate store and release of chakra. The reason that not many people do it is because it requires a lot of chakra control. But its probably more compex than I think it is...

her strength as far as i could tell yea is from her pouring some of her chakra into her hand and using it....kinda seems like the most plausable explanation.....

She store chakra at her hand and release it at the point of contact.


Kinda like Rurouni Kenshin, that guy with the huge sword that the names escapes me at the moment.
He learned that fighting technique that allowed him to have similar effect of strenght, not really strengt but timming^^

So yes, it may be possible to anyone learn, but no one is teaching them. And you must be some genius to figure out for yourself

Requires really good Chakra control.

The name of that guy in Kenshin was Sanosuke Sagara.

Sakura uses a similar technnique. She stores chakra in her hand and lets it go at the point of contact. This probably requires a lot of chakra to do the damage, and also a lot of Chakra control. Her super strength only comes from controlling chakra with a hold-release technique, so she can only shatter objects by hitting them. I dont think she can life heavy objects so well, which also shows super strength. People who can use the 8 gates or the cursed seal could probably be better at lifting heavy weights than Sakura.

^ Tsunade can, in the anime at least.

I can't recall whether she lifted Gamabunta's tanto in the manga.
